Morning
Well I'm up to £479.21/£450 for which I think I will blame the school holidays for creeping up on me...
Sadly, I'm probably not quite finished yet for July but I will sit down and have a think about how I'm going to organise August - people being in/out/asleep/awake at different times doesn't help!
Well done to everybody who has a much tighter grip on this than me and good luck for the last few days.August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Good morning everyone,
rain back again, oh well, sunshine was nice while it lasted.
Meeting friend for a quick lunch today, which will result in me reshuffling my meal plan.
Have started eating my way through the mountain of tins in my store cupboard. I am determined to thread them into my meal plan one way or another.
Hope you all have a frugal and fruitful day.It takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!0 -
Silly me. Forgot to say Mrs. Mc could Highland Fling aim for £120 for August GC.It takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!0

I have just had my first ever reduced sticker haul!!!!:j:j:j
Was so chuffed that I had to tell you all!
I managed to get over £17 worth of fresh stuff (that can be frozen) for just £4.37! Its mostly things like cheese, veggie lasagnes, fish, cauli cheese, ready done mash (Hairy Bikers one no less!) - all very handy for those days when you just don't have time.
I'm not a big convenience person but I am a very busy teacher and sometimes just don't the oomph or inclination to create from scratch:o.
Most of it is already in the freezer and in my excitement I forgot to check the bakery and bread aisles for bargains - oh well - better leave some for someone else, just grateful for my haul.
I even got some ready cooked chicken bits for the dog as a treat ( I don't eat meat). Thank you Mr T!:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Well done Welshwoofer - sounds like you got some real bargains there!

altho that looks good on paper we did eat out alot on our week off but thats didn't come out of the budget and only happens once a yearwe're going away in 2 weeks for a few days but moneys abit tight so i will hopefully be spending as little as possible between now and then
DEC GC £463.67/£450
EF- £110/COLOR]/£10000 -
A few little shops which I have added to my sig, including £16.53 in T's, my Mum had to go so I went with her as I knew I was low on stuff for the kids lunches, am not used to catering for those as they usually do school meals, but at least I have allowed a bit more to hopefully cover it..
my ds isa nightmare at the moment with constantly looking for something to eat or drink, I only wish he would eat fruit as I wouldn't mind that but he is always looking for rubbish, I don't like him eating loads so I end up feeling like I am constantly telling him off
Have mad a chilli for tonights tea for us all and should be enough to freeze for at least some of us to have again next week (I always used to just serve it all up so that is a big difference for me that seems like second nature now)
Think I am doing ok budget wise...this Saturday we are doing a family barbecue for a few birthdays, I have done a shop for delivery and that is costing each family £10 (plus bring our own drinks) so think I will do my main shop on Sunday as there won't be much room in the fridge till then!! and I will just add any bits I need to tide us over onto the Sainsbugs delivery......Just need to be careful with the cash that others give me and make sure that doesn't get frittered away on nothing!
Hope everyone is having a good day xStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -

My first spend of the August budget at the local shop of £8.44 for much needed toilet rolls, a treat lunch for dd of square sausage sarnies as it was reduced. Also bought cheese, brown sauce and coffee as they are all on offer and can cross them off tomorrows shopping list.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -
It have set the target in August at £260. This will work out to be a 5 week month (payday to payday) and the first week has a budget of £100 to get everything in bulk for the month and then a weekly budget of £40 which is double the budget in July but still half of the £80 a week that I used to spend.0
