Thanks for the new thread guys! Looking forward to actually coming under budget this month! (I dont hold out much hope!) To combat the overspending on takeaways I've made an extra budget just for that of £50 for the month and hopefully we should be able to stick to that!
Spent £8.00-ish at Aldi last night on fruit and veg bargains and £ 15.75 at Morrisons getting bits before the BIG SHOP tonight. Going to try a lot more own brand stuff from Asda tonight as have had a few of their 'chosen by you' things which have been quite nice!
Hope everyone is ok today and looking forward to the weekend! xxxEvery act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Morning Everyone....Not posted on here for a while now.:o
Due to various issues happening in RL have not been keeping a tally on our spends.
But I feel more able to do that now.:)
Would like to request that I be removed from the annual list for the grocery challenge and go back to the monthly list.
Would like to be put on list for a budget of £125 for July.
Nice to see familiar names as well as new ones.
Good luck everyone for July:D'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle'0 -
I too would like to go on the monthly list as I have strayed very far from the path of righteousness
£200 for me for the month please, I have a fair bit of food in, and am going to menuplan my way through the summer holidays to keep costs down, my cooker is back up and running again, which will make a difference as I can bake snacks and so on, again.
Good luck everyone. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -

Good luck to everyone for this month.
Can I please be added to list for this months budget of £200 for 2 adults?
Thank you0 -
Hi,
can I join you this month? I spend approx £90-100 a week for 2 adults (husband has a bottomless pit for a stomach) 3 children and a dog who isnt really added in the budget as she has a MASSIVLY expensive dog food for sensitive stomach as everything else she brings back up, so hubby buys her food. Generally I can shop quite well cooking from scratch most days but it's dishwasher tablets/washing powder/etc that brings up the bill, we go through endless amounts of milk and bread also. I did a shop at asda last week, usually I go to tesco's and according to their price challenge I saved £8 but it's a bit out of the way and tesco is just round the corner0 -
kymbo value dishwasher tablets are acually quite good and only £1.60 for 30 i buy my washing liquid in bulk when it's on bogof in makro however it's worth keeping an eye on amazon, i got 6 bottles of 34 wash dax and it worked out at £1.90 each a few months ago (i did have to buy 6 mind but still good) it might also eb worth going shopping late on and freezing reduced bread you can get loafs for 20p in my store around 8 so i can get a weeks worth for the full price of 1
we also do this for muffins, bagels and pancakes
i'm now the proud owner of a new dishwasher and a very empty purseDEC GC £463.67/£450
