Thank you. They're not perfect though, the icing on the cupcake has a few gaps found it hard icing and turning the plateand the wing mirrors on mater nearly drove me insane - he nearly ended up without any as couldn't figure how to ice the shape of cake. Still as long as my little one is pleased with them that's all that matters;)

Hi there - I'm hoping someone will be able to help me, and that I'm in the right sort of area.... I want to make 30 ice-cream cone cupcakes for a class. So far, I've seen that some people on this thread have done them, and they look fab, but I'm wondering if there's a specific post anywhere which either gives or links to a recipe and method - or any hints and tips people have who've done them. Sorry if I'm going over old ground, but all the searches I've done take me all over the place, because there's about 7 zillion mentions of 'cupcake' on the forum message boards - can't think why!!:)Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

i used a basic vanilla cupcake recipe for mine and i used the half trex, half lurpak for the icing as its white mine did tend to go soft after baking though i have read somewhere to put a cocktail stick in each cone at the bottom to stop that happening but i havent made them since so dont know if that works0

Hi julie. the biggest problem i found with ice cream cupcakes was transporting them is they are top heavy and prone to falling over. i read a tip which may have been on here to use a cereal box. cut holes in for cones to sit in, holds about twelve and worked a treat.:wall:Trying to get a grip :think:0

So - I have 30 to make - what quantity of cake mix do I need for, say 10 - the same as for 10 cupcakes, or, because it's going into a cone base, do I use double the quantity - and how far up the cone do I fill, please?Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

Hiya Good vibes, you're in good company here! the nozzle I use is a 1M nozzle, they are pretty reasonable on ebay
Bobbis mummy, im sure your little one will love them!
I think I read somewhere that you put a hole in the bottom of the cone or something that stops them going soggy? You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0
