all you have to do when making any purchase by card instead of working out payment is say to the cashier .for example if the payment comes to £5.86 say that you will pay £5.01 by card and the rest by cash..then your 99p,s will soon add up

One idea I've had is look for charities or people that accept donations by PayPal, then donate 1p 50 times. AFAIK, PayPal will only deduct fees out of the transaction, so PayPal will take 1p each time.

Is this worth opening an account over?
  • I am currently with HSBC, is it worth opening an account to try and get the £100 you think?? It would be a freebie at the end of the day.

couple of important things to think about here:rolleyes:
    1. if you do register can you go back to the old way if you don't like it (or after march!)

    2. if you do the pay pal option to get the £50 per month and the card u use is the save the change debit card (switch) are you covered against fraud? because at the moment i only have my credit card on my pay pal account!

    3. if you do do the pay pal option can someone explain how you would do it and how long it will take?

    4. for the fuel option would you fill up £5.01 then go and pay, then come back to the car and put another £5.01 again and so on? suppose it would be better with 2 people, one in the garage and one on the pump!

this thread is goin to be funny. someone here will come up with a way!

Easy if there Tesco or ASDA wheer you pay ay the pump itself

you have to have the £250 in the savers account so i have been told it can be open without this but no interested and this is the catch they are geting the £250 for 2 months thus them making some money on lending that out etc.
I opened an account with £250 and drew money out the next day leaving £5.67 in there, so no you do not have to leave the full £250 in the bank.
  • I ahve registered ..but note that it does say in the terms and conditions that they could withdraw the February and march offer at any time...mmmm...probably once everyone has signed up!!!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

Nothing here yet. I registered about a week ago and it's not working yet. I suppose it could be due to the holidays. I'll give it a week or so then call in to my branch

I got a letter sent to me today..... saying thanks for signing up....save the change will start in Feb...it also lists the £100 offer :T
