I ordered from Zooplus for about the fifth time last week and I forgot to add the code to get 5% off my order as it was over £75. One quick email to Zooplus and they have refunded me the difference. I have nothing but praise for them.

How are they supposed to know you are a new customer if you haven't registered? This was your error but you might try asking nicely - you never know.

I did look, hence why I posted what I did! See for yourself...

I even did a trial checkout to check the discount is still applied, and it was.

As a registered customer the site is recognising your computer and showing you 5% discount. It is showing me 10%. As you seem to think I am making up stories, If you can explain how you copied their website page I will post it for you to see.

I used them once and was not impressed. I waited ages for delivery of a bag of Burns and some wet food pouches. One of the key items was not sent (the wet food pouches so important to my dogs - and the reason I ordered online was to save petrol costs) The invoice said that it would follow (and the money had been debited when I placed the order). Eventually, after about two weeks they admitted the item wasn't going to show up and refunded me. I use Pet planet now.

I've actually come across another site called Medicanimal. I've not used them yet, but noticed they do free postage too & without any minimum spend.

I have used most of the other online stores & prefer Zooplus. If you complain I'm fairly sure you will get refunded.

Right next to the express checkout it says the welcome discount is not valid if express check out is used.

I don't think it's 'underhand' or such for them to not want people to just use the express checkout and get the voucher every time they order. They're a business after all.

I always shop at Zooplus and find them very good. Any problems and I have found they sort it out quickly. Maybe you should email them and say you made a mistake about ordering without registering for the discount and i'm pretty sure they will honour the discount and give it to you with your next order.

I shop a lot with Zooplus because they are so efficient (German company). I get the delivery quicker than petsupermarket which have taken up to 2 weeks. If you want the 10% new customer, just register next time you buy something and get the 10% off and go through topcashback for another 5% (?) cashback which is what I do. On top of that do check out your points account, which they dont make clear enough on there - you get zooplus points which you can use to buy freebies on their site. Brilliant, Ive had lots of stuff for my dogs for free. And you often get a freebie chucked in your order anyway if they are promoting a new product. I think you are judging them wrongly, it was a genuine mistake on both parts. As someone else said, how do they know you are a new customer if you dont register. We could all not register and claim to be a new customer every time we bought something to get the 10% discount- which is probably their point.
