  • I have not read todays posts as I am very tired and emotional. Spent a worrying 6 hours at Heathrow airport today waiting for DD3 to go off to spend Xmas with her Dad. She was travelling unaccompanied and was in a right state - throwing up, crying and trying so hard to be brave. I just wanted to run away with her.

However, she did eventually go with the nice lady escort, was handed over to a nice man called Steve - who I never met and she was upgraded to business class, she watche Pirates of the Caribbean and Cars, ate and drank like a queen and finally landed about half an hour ago. I got a call from her saying "Mum I faced my fears and did it" she is so proud of herself and I am so proud of her. Just have to hope now she makes the return journey - though thanks to you lot and just being able to voice my fear made me put it into perspective. So once again thank you all.

Just posted a reply to realise my mistake - it should have been DD in last post! Recent post hasn't shown up. My daughter is one of my best friends. We fought cat and dog in the teen years and now couldn't be closer. Enjoy your night in. Sorry her visit to Dad wasn't too good. They get to an age when they make their own choices. I always have made our two equal (and now the grandsons). The toys for DGs are a bit difficult as it is 2 boys and a lot of stuff there but I have always made up for it in other ways. I have bought the nappies and wipes since day one! Any little bit here and there helps.

Just had awful news. My friend has lost her darling baby boy full term plus 6 days. Funeral post Xmas. What on earth can you say?

    Love and hugs

GB not alot that you can say, just be there for them, my friend lost 2 beautiful babys at a few months old, i was just there for them to talk too, cry with, and help rebuild their lives.
It is awful when something like this happens.
