Sounds as thought the wine is out in force tonight!! Im on my 2nd large glass!! Christmas spirit a few days early!!
Grannybroom, you made me think about my friend in preston with your post, we went all through school together, and miss each other loads since she married and moved away.
I do try my hardest to keep in touch, but have forgoten her b/day a few times, and i forgot to send wedding annv card this year and it was only her first one!!
We do email each other and i always phone her if she sends anything, but it is so different to seeing her nearly every day when she lived here.
Its not that i dont think about her its just hard to remember to contact her just for a chat ect when im so busy with the kids.
She hasnt got kids yet and when she does come over makes me feel bad if i cant go out and have a night out with her, all my oldest friends dont have kids yet and find it hard to understand that with 4 dropping everything for a night out isnt always possible.
I went out with her 3 weeks ago and she now is unhappy as i wont go out xmas eve with the girls, but xmas eve is the kids night. Its so hard when friends move away.
Sorry for long post, we have watched a carry on film tonight, kids just watching nightmare before xmas, and later plan on watching the top 40 fools and horses moments!!:T
Had first carol singers two boys about 12 they were quite good and had a lantin which looked great.
Have a good night all, Donna

Not drunk - just eaten too many liquorice allsorts:lipsrseal
Never mind, boys are asleep so the final sorting of the pressies WILL take place in about 10 minutes time.
Where's the pic Nels? Huh? Huh?
Right, off for a restorative tincture then I can sit in the attic bedroom and "sort"
Oh, BTW, Mr TM has just spoken to his sister on the phone. Her flight to Belfast this morning was cancelled (Cardiff) and she's been booked on one from Brum on saturday morning. If that doesn't get there, we've another guest for xmasDo ya think I've enough food in? :rotfl:

Waiting for my 2 to go to sleep, youngest is still on a high because of Christmas getting 'closerer' but has a cold and keeping himself awake. Want to get some wrapping done but can't with him being up and down like a yoyo. Just had a blazing row with mother after having one with father about their childish behaviour (makes me wonder who is the child in our family at the minute) and I have a sink full of washin up to do
and I can't be bothered to get off my lazy fat backside, anyone got a spare dishwasher?
One day I might be more organised...........

No wine here, but did open the Christmas advocat for a snowball!!!!
Well exOH brought DD back, with all her xmas pressies, hes bought the bits i asked for, plus a few more. Apparently he has bought DS a mobile phone and a MP3 player. Not happy, as the MP3 player is what he asked me for (he didnt ask his dad, he knows not to ask both of us), i just wish ex would check before buying things. DD also commented that her dad always buys more for DS, and often buys her things she doesnt like (kinder choc selection box) or things that dont fit (a top and skirt, obviously too small, but with the labels removed so i cant change them!!!) its a shame that she has started noticing, but not a lot i can do, he never listens to me.
Anyway, we are now having a girly night (im just on here whilst shes setting something up for us to do!!!) so off to play what ever it is, and eat more choc, and maybe another drink!!!
Have a lovely evening everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone who wont be here over the christmas period (i prob will be, i dont get out much!!!!)0 -
Snowball, oh YUM!! I haven't had an alcoholic drink for over a year as haven't fancied it but I could just drink a snowball...One day I might be more organised...........

Best friend in down south so loved up haven't heard from her since I was down in the summer! Been friends since we were 11. Missing her. Her daughter married in early Sept, helped choose wedding dress, gAve huge advice, sent cheque for £100 as couldn't be there. No Xmas card, no thank you for wedding gift. She used to send me e-mail prior to wedding constantly as we did daughter's wedding 2+ years ago. Heard nothing since!
I know exactly how you feel, an old friend suddenly stopped phoning/texting last year, and then moved and didnt tell me where, i have no idea why, she sees my sister and has also seen my mum and has often asked how we are, but still no word to us. I put it down to the fact we live away now, and that she has a chap!!!!0 -
Christmas wouldnt be christmas without a snowball (or 2, or 3!!!!)0
