Hiya everyone :santa2:
congrats to Mr Penguin :j :j
Boys are off to school but Mr TM broke up yesterdau which means he'll be under my feet!! Actually, that's not true already cos I had decided that I would nip to Lidl and Aldi first thing to get the bits and pieces and be home for 11 am as i have someone coming to pick up an item I ebayed, between 11 and 12. But no, things must run on Mr TM time, so he rolled into the shower at 9 and announced he was off into town to get his shoes reheeled!! At least I've sent him with a list of things to get/do and I can go to Aldi after lunch.
So, today I need to get into the attic and sort all the xmas pressies out, make sure both boys have the same number and wrap the last 2 of Mr TM's. Will set Mr TM onto cleaning duties later and MUST make some mince pies (I have resorted to buying MR T's as a standby but I love HM ones) BM needs to go on and want to change the boys beds. I may even change the gerbils bedding while I'm at it
OK - off to post another ebay parcel, but best finish gettng ready or I'll be shocking the postmaster :rotfl:
Nels - have to see a pic of the suite when it arrives
See yall later

PS is anyone else having that same annoying thing, where when you refresh the page, it goes back to the top? Grrrr0 -
Morning Everyone!!!
Congrats to those that deserve it (or hubbys!), and ((((hugs)))) to those that need them today.
I too haven't had a great nights sleep, didnt sleep til after 1am, then kept waking, and then Casey decided that I should be up letting her out at 7am, and then postie rang the bell at 8am. And I should be having nice long lies since I'm on holiday now. Never mind, it means I have got all but one of my parcels now, only one more to be delivered then I can get the wrapping finished.
Not impressed with the weather, its a bit damp here and with two loads of washing to dry it means I have to put the heating on again.
Got the house to clean today, this will be the final biggie before Monday with just a quick dust and hoover probably thrown in after that. OH is away installing computers in a new estate agents so at least I have got rid of him most of the day!
Got OH a new cheapie jacket the other day which is going back today. It has holes in both pockets and the press studs have come off the sleeves and it was only worn once! Never mind, means I can get him a bottle of Malt Whisky of something to add to his xmas pressie!
Catch you all later no doubt! Better go start getting organised!"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

Today I need to get so much done too  I need to clean the house from top to bottom, make tonight's (and tomorrow night's) tea, make the sugar paste models for my Xmas cake, wrap the last 6 pressies for DD and clean my [STRIKE]grey[/STRIKE] cream sofas
Better get dressed first eh?
Have a great day everyoneSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

Morning all
Congrats to Mr Penguin
Well my new oven door glass has been dispatched according to order tracking....for those who missed it yesterday - I managed to drop a screw driver on the outer glass whilst I took the inner glass out to clean it....not a good idea when you want to cook a monster chistmas dinner!....The old me and DH would have just gone out and got a new cooker rather than chance it not turning up on time but we agreed that if we can't use the oven then we'll still have a lovely SC beef with mash and steamed veg and those who dont like it - can - lump it!(Best of all - we've got accidental insurance cover so it's only costing us the excess)
DD's are making cardboard baubles with glitter and assorted sequins - I shall just hoover them and all the mess before they leave the kitchen.
Need to get the fold out beds out of the loft later to air and all the spare bedding and then reorganise the DD's bedrooms to fit everyone in for christmas, still not caught up with the ironing but will pull my finger out this afternoon and get it done.
A reminder for anyone with a big turkey to check the defrosting time - mine needs to come out tonight to be ready to cook on Christmas eve.
Have a good one all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Was at my friends yesterday, got her wireless connection sorted out, now she cant find her favourites and the firewall is switched off..........I am 16 miles away and refuse to go over again this week.........she will just have to fiddle or wait. trouble is she is not a techie, but them neither am I.......I learnt by trial and error.........................
OH has just announced he cannot find his car keys.ppppppppppppppllllleeeeaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee, I just want to shut myself away................
I wanted to sew today in stead of which I am going to have to turn the house upside down for KEYS.........
My head is bursting.................
:coffee:is being drunk, then I must get dressed. Also had a fuss with a DVD player I ordered, the chap wrote the number on my card down wrong, they emailed me last night, supposed to be delivering today, blew them off a rocket, should come tomorrow but not holding my breath.

Good Morning All
Congrats to Mr & Mrs Pen Pen
(((Catznine)))
Had first lie in for many weeks today and a very slow start - cant beleive its gone half past ten. Done very little so far - loaded dw folded fry clothes and added to Mount Ironing which is currently covering the whole of a three seater settee and is threatening to topple over any minute. At least 2 more washing loads today also.
Only the first day of the hols and kids already arguing and driving me mad, hopefully its the Xmas hype & will calm down after. Am just about to empty the dw and tidy the kitchen then will be waking oh shortly as we are all going out for lunch then a film. Unfortunately have got to pop to Asda first as need to see if they have the games that Amazon have failed to deliver. I seriously hope they have.
Obvoiusly more wrapping and sorting to do, hopefully everything will be pretty much done by tomm evening as then are out everyday till Xmas. Need to go to Asda on sat or sun to get fresh stuff but not sure when I can fit it in.
Best get on - have a great day.0 -
Hi all,
Thanks for your nice welcome yesterday
I am trying to decide whether to go into town when I pick my dd up from nursery this morning, we would have to walk both ways as my ds is in a buggy and I have a nightmare getting buggies onto the bus. Last time I tried to get on one with it two buses went straight past me and one stoppd to tell me "You wont get that on here luv"
So far I have th DW on and am on my second wash. I have also had a little tidy up so am feeling pleased with myself!
This afternoon we are going to make reindeer dust (porridge and glitter) ready for christmas eve and I might try some gingerbread men too for any visitors that pop in.
Pooky - I hope you get your oven door in time for christmas but at least you have your slow cooker if not (This coming from someone whose oven was broke for six weeks and we used the slow cooker all the time):T Bright side - a slow cooker christmas dinner would probably be a lot less hassle than a traditional one:T
Csarina - Last time my hubby couldn't find his car keys they were locked in the car in the ignition...... 50 miles from home, at half eleven on a sunday night. TIP: if you smash a window don't smash the small triangley shaped one near the back... its the most expensive to replace.;)
Anyway best get off now.... Have a good day everyone0 -
Mooooorninnnnnggg all! :hello:
Today I'll be doing the last of my work this side of Christmas :j:j:j:j
Will pack it all in today's schedule and still should be home for dinner at 7-ish.
Bloomin' freezing here in London, foggy and miserable...:( But hey who cares? I'll put on my horrible but warm and comfy padded jacket. No point catching a cold just to look pretty, that's what I say.
I might do some food shopping if I feel like, although I really prefer to leave it all for tomorrow, so I have time to look around and shop properly.
I hope you all have a good day!Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
