they were close to administration link here. Plus the stores have been split into 2, JJB and DW shops. Might be more trouble brewing for distorting the tennis racket market with its 'Slazenger' range in 2008.

--sorry- was meant to say "rober dyas"! Its late/early, no sleep (poor excuse but thats the facts!) it was Robert Dyas I heard about in the news, was sure it was only a few weeks ago as I buy Brita cartridges from them and was worried about where I'd get any more from!

Having said that, I've not heard anything about Rymans but wouldn't be suprized....

    Hi all,

I work in clothing at the supply end, and it is not good anywhere on the high street at the moment. Everyones struggling, some more than others!
I have heard rumours that peacocks are going under? Not sure how true but generally when i have heard rumours in the past they have been! River will be ok i think as it is one of the biggies along with Topshop, DP will be ok as it is under the Philip Green umbrella, they seem to be re-styling their clothing slightly aswell, i think to attract more consumers!
It is tough for the stores at the moment and everyones jobs too, pretty crap! Hopefully it will make way for some more individual smaller businesses though!
