I kinda hope it is new look. That shops getting worse and worse :( I went in looking for some maternity stuff and seriously it was all hideous. All the tops had stupid 'bump' slogans on it, ugh.

I have been in new look once, cos my sister in law shops there, she said it was good, it was full of teenagers, and it made me feel like i was the ugly duckling that had just walked in :(

Tj hughes at least had normal clothes, not all the rubbish they try to flog nowadays. Hmm..... i went into bhs, as our dorothy perkins is in there, they just gave me a bhs bag.

i doubt its them as they have moved most into other stores to save money, do people shop at next?.

It may be clarks....... it may be a shoe shop and not just a clothes shop

Have seen two Uniqlo stores close in London, think one may be being refitted but the other is shut for good, no idea if there are other stores involved!

I am unsure how many of the above lists are wish lists or real lists! I have my own designs on who I'd like to vanish but you have to remember that todays market is tweenage girls (paid for by daddy's pocket money) or rich kids from abroad coming to shop our sales for the "from the UK" token prices. I'd say its likely to be stores aimed at anyone above the age of 25 as these people tend to be more particlar, buy with reason rather then because the money is there and due to things like family, mortgage and learning that money does not grow on trees just don't seem to buy as much, they also demand more from stores such as quality and value for money which I think so many of the tweenage/teenage stores lack by the bucket load!

(I could make a list but I'd be here for hours and I should probably at least try to sleep!!)

I'm surprised it's gone bust - I would have thought my 2 teenage nieces would have kept it afloat - they spend (spent) a fortune in there

Dorothy Perkins have closed 2 stores in my local area. One in the very busy Town centre and one on a small high street.
bit of a shock. I was a bit gutted I missed the 75% sales plus buy one get one free on everything.
    They also closed down Burtons.
