Glastonbury wellie nightmare
Comments
-
OP - I can completely understand the situation you've described. The wellies are useless and the only thing more annoying than having crap wellies is having to cart them around at Glastonbury all weekend so you can return them. In your situation I would probably have done exactly the same thing - mitigate the situation by taking a photo by way of proof, but not bother carrying them around for another 4 days just to be able to return them. I am surprised that anyone would think that a festival is excessive wear for wellies, or that keeping them for the rest of the festival so that you could return them would in any way be a practical option. Unfortunately you will be relying on the good will of the store for a solution (it sounds as though they, at least, seem to understand your position) but suspect that there is no further course of action available to you beyond that.0

sorry to ask but whats happened to flyboy, is he taking a perma break
He is still locked in a room desperately trying to look up some legislation that confirms the points he was making on the Brighthouse Harassment thread. He may be some time.............make the most of it."We can all fly as high as the dreams we dare to live...........unless we are a chicken" ~ Anon.0 -

Well after reading through some of these replies, my other half has decided not to go any further with regards to try and get a happy ending. We knew it would be a long shot to try and get a result, but we thought we would see if anyone on here could suggest something to try first.
@visidigi - yep... they're the ones. Little Jack Russell's I believe.
@paddyrg. I can see what you were trying to get across. I think that if the wellies were a lot more expensive, my other half would have hung on to them through out the day, but like posted somewhere in this thread, to walk around at a festival all day with a pair of wellies is not an easy task (the camper van was in a field about two miles away from where we were at the time).
@pinkshoes. Thanks for a straight answer
@Errata It was a liner inside the wellies (heel/ankle area). I would post a pic but don't use a hosting site to link a pic
@DCFC79. My other half was prepared to take a hit and right off the money straight the way, but I suggested a post on here just incase anyone knew of another approach to the sellers where we stood a better chance of getting some sort of result.
@neilmcl.See my reply to Errata above.
@George Michael. Looks like you read and take on board what is written the posts... what ever has been said;)
@gordikin. Yep... end of story. Not to sure who flyboy152 is but I'm guessing he could be related to geordyracer???
@Gra76. Thanks for a straight, good old English reply. Yep, in hindsight, throwing them away was a suicidal thing to do, but like my reply to paddyrg, to walk around the festival site all day with a pair of wellies is bordering on the unthinkable. Ask any festival go'er.
@NeilF3485. Well done on admitting your blunder. What makes it worse is I have spent 5 minutes typing a reply back for you only to delete the bloody thing as I have just read your flyboy moment comment lol.
@RadoJo:A:A:A:beer::kisses3::kisses3::kisses3: You appear to be on my wavelength
Thanks all for ALL your replies including yours geordieracer:cool::cool:

Oh dear, don't worry geordyracer, i'm sure she means no offence0 -
As clever as you may think that is, I was referring to the inbuilt time stamp on the image data which is included within the data of a photo, including all the photo information, such as date, time, camera used, ISO settings etc etc...
The built in (EXIF) data on a photo can be faked, IIRC various programmes let you edit parts of the data easily enough0
