sounds like their beginning to shut the doors on this claim and wash all hands leaving the OP out in the cold.
they havent put anything in writing to you as such RE: V5C request, ownership issues because that would mean they have committed to your claim where as they contact you by phone then later deny all knowladge if they wish. before you do ANYTHING even photo copy anything i would seek legal advice as soon as you can.0 -

Its irrelevant who bought the car your gran/toyboy/fairy godmother could have bought it for all it matters and she could have paid £5 for the car after winning a hand of poker or 50k because a dealer saw her coming, it has no relevance as they will only pay the market value anyway.
You really need to get advice off a solicitor now.
With regards to the possible fronting, it maybe worth trying to get something off your previous insurers that clearly states who was insured as the main driver, named driver and registered keeper especially if you don't have the old certificates showing all that info.
TAKE EM TO THE CLEANERS!!!!
Thanks already have something of old insurers re main driver etc, I hate insurance companies:mad: Off to see the solicitors later in the week.Starting to save £2 coins again, but it is a struggle:rotfl:Not doing very well keep spending them

hmm i don't think this solicitor will be of any use to you TBH, I also hope they didn't advise you to send originals i.e the only ORIGINAL documents you have relating to that car!!!
If the solicitor doesn't know what fronting is (and its been big news for a few years so unless you live under a rock you should have some basic knowledge of it) how will they fight that claim if it goes to court effectively.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
