We also had a staff member sent home to change, her skirt was so short you could see her knickers when she walked,
Oh dear HH that made me laugh! Also brought back memories of when I started teaching in1970. There were 6 of us newbies all aged 21 in school where most staff were the upper side of 40. It was indeed the age of the mini. After the first few days the HT let it be known that ladies could after all wear "nicely cut" trousers - previously trousers were a real "no-no"! Looking back at the photos I'm not surprised, those skirts must have been very revealing when we were leaning over desks!!Resolution:

Morning Troops.
I have DC1 and DC3 home from school/nursery as they are not well. I have a Dr's appointment for DC3 at 2.50, so I can pick DC2 up from school and then go to the Dr's, so that fits nicely.
DC1 is definatly going back to school tomorrow as he has been bouncing around here, so I think he was swinging the lead this morning. Though he has been punished for that in a way as he is going to miss playing in his school concert tonight because he can't go to it as he has been off ill.
DC2 has an appointment with the Paed. tomorrow, so will have to take him out of school for a while. He is being assesed to see if he is on the spectrum for autism. He then has an appointment to see the Dr. at 4.20 as he has had a snotty nose for months now. It just won't go away and it is doing my head in, especially as he uses his sleeves or wipes his hands on anything he can find. I am for ever shouting " TISSUE!" at him.
Kids are off on Thursday due to the strikes.
Friday we have Infants and Juniors sports days, so that's a whole day gone.
It's DC2's birthday tomorrow and I haven't got his presents and cards yet. Was meant to be doing it today. We are having a party for him on Saturday and I still need to make the bunting (pirate themed), make the cake (need to do a practise one first) and think about and do all the other things to organise it.
My head feels all fuzzy and I have no energy. Can't get motivated this morning. I have folded and sorted an airer and hung clothes on them. Another wash is in. I need to do the DW.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Good morning, from a cloudy Lincoln.
At least we haven't got the extreme temps of last 2 days and I can go down the allotment today.
Had a harrowing last couple of days. Boiler leaked down walls of our house and next door on Sunday. Council house - so they came and turned hot water off on Sunday and spent whole of yesterday fixing it.
On Sunday eve my 13 year old cat was attacked by a dog and killed, which has devestated us all. My 12 year old son has never known life without Toby. We buried him last evening in the garden.
Today we have the gas board digging holes outside the house, so more noise while they put in new pipes up and down the road.
Got a gammon joint and a pork joint well reduced last night at Sainsburys so will cook them tonight. They should each do a couple of meals - total cost £4.50. So well pleased with that.
Have a good day.0 -

The dog belonged to someone across the road - a pitbull/staffy cross apparently. We didn't see it, thankfully. But they haven't even called across to apologise.0

We have a very strange yellow ball in the sky here too, a nice breeze though keeping everywhere fairly cool.
We spent yesterday at the garden we have been given to cultivate through HFW's landshare scheme, a walled garden that has been sadly neglected over the years, one gardener to look after gardens and 1,000acres of woodland.
We managed to weed and dig two and a half of the deep beds and a piece in the big bed big enough to put in 60 leeks. Sofar we have 12 caulis, calebrese and cabbages in one bed, 42 beetroot in another and 6 fennel in the deep bed in the poly tunnel. A lot of work still to do, a forest to cut down to get to the plum tree, the apple trees need pruing and there is a huge redcurrant bush which needs sorting too, besides all the enttles and weeds in the main garden........we are going to enjoy ourselves!!
Cooking off some gammon for pasta and salad for supper tonight.......some ironing to do and the binding to put on a quilt.......0 -
