I was at Braehead on Saturday and store was open but then Security came and closed it. We all thought it was cause the Air conditioning was playing up (girls in Dunes told us this). I joked with the staff in Dune that I hope they hadn't gone bust!
Shame great store, always fav with girls for school bags!0 -

Another vote for not really missing jane norman, and agree on the cheapish look of most of their clothes, although the prices certainly don't reflect that!
My main problem with Jane Norman is you can usually spot if someone is wearing an item of their clothing a mile off, it all has a really 'jane norman' look about it, river island has gone much the same with alot of their clothes too. I think it cheapens the look of an outfit if you can easily look at it and say "she shops in such and such", if you see what I mean.
I was quite surprised when I read the article on the bbc and it said their clothes were aimed at 18-25 year olds. I don't tend to go in there as I feel their clothes are a bit 'young' for me, and I'm only 24! When I was about 15-19 I loved their clothes but they were always out of my price range. In my opinion they haven't really got their target market right - I think their clothes are too young an cheap looking for most 18-25 year olds, yet too expensive for most teens.
Also agree about the carrier bags - very good re-useable bags! As mentioned very popular school bags and they used to sell very well on ebay for that purpose - which kinda adds to my theory that teens like the shop but can't afford to shop there!0 -
Gosh I am really surprised that is the age range. The only buyers I know are more like dorien from birds of a feather. I would have said 40-50 but thin.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving

I did buy some things from Jane Norman, never full priced though, as I was sick of the stitching coming out of clothes and a bag I bought fell apart fairly quickly. Only thing that's lasted is a purse I bought over a year ago and I'm using just now, and that was bought at half price. Feal really sorry for the staff.2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017
