    Morning Troops.

Sorry I slipped off the wagon :o. I was ill for a while and then just couldn't get on with it. Everything has gone backwards and I am nearly in the same position I was before soooo it's back to the 15 min. slots.

My eldest is at home today as he is not feeling well. I suspect he is over tired as he had Cub Camp over the weekend.

It is the youngest's birthday on Wedsnesday so I will have to go shopping tomorrow to get presents. DH has only got paid so I haven't been able to before. I want to get him a bike, was going today but with DC1 ill will have to do it tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good day. I am off for my 15 mins. I will keep posting my lists on here if people don't mind to keep me motivated to continue.

  • just popped on board to say hello to everyone, my MSE day includes walking the dog, ironing, tea tonight is pasta with creme fraiche (from lidl cheap) and salmon trimming (£1 a bag from sainsburys basics) which sounds expensive but is cheap!

Just cleaned up and waiting for floor to dry. Bacon trimmings in Lidl were good this weekend, £1.50 a kilo and there wer 2 massive thick chops in there, n ot much fat so I cut it inot portions and froze for pasta type meals.

Have a nice day everyone :)

    Morning peeps!

Its a glorious sunny day yay!!

We've now sun three days in a row :eek::eek:went off to sheepwash yesterday, playing frisbee and paddling in the stream. Heaven. then came back to the men of the house having takeaway and me eating salad, i was very good and didn't any of it. I was starving though, my tummy fumbling all night grrr

Oh i'm so nervous this week, coddy has his transition week at secondary school. He's all excited, i'm freaking out.

But apart from that had a morning of robins flying in our bedroom at dawn and roses popping out. Its was amazing seeing them swoop in and out of the bedroom window.

Plans for today include taking mate out for lunch (its her birthday) and sorting out more stuff in the house. Managed to clear out part of the kitchen and under the stairs, two places filled up totally with junk.
Also have to go to the bank, get ink and make some bread for tea.

    Hope everyone's well!

good luck for those going to secondary school xxx

    First 15min. done.

I have attacked my shower cubicle in the en-suite. It is a 1500 one so quite big. It hasn't been cleaned in I don't know how long. The glass doors had gone opaque :o. DH got me the steam cleaner from Lidl and I tried that earlier but it wasn't even touching it, it was that bad. So I got some Cillit Bang. I have just sprayed the 3 folding doors and the end panel with it, absolutly covered them, used tons of it. I used an old washing scrunchy and used the run off to scrub round the tray, it's shifted most of the gunk but there is still some there. Scrubbed the doors and end panel and then sprayed the lot with the shower head. I can now see out of them which is brilliant.

The fumes were a bit noxious and my hands were suffering a bit so I have smothered them in hand cream. I think I need to get some of that shower stuff that you spray on the doors after you have showered that helps keep them clean.

JackieG........ That is such sad news about Lou. I will be thinking of her all day x
Happy birthday to your DS x

Set for another scorcher here and washing done and on the line already. Had an awful night it was too hot to sleep even with the ceiling fans on full.

Off to take some library books back and need to try to get in to see the doctor if I can today or tomorrow.

Dinner tonight is gammon, new potatoes and salad with a big batch of home grown, home made strawberry ice cream.

    Morning my lovelies :D

JackieG - Sorry to hear the sad news. Please pass on my love to Lou and I am thinking of her and her H xxx Happy birthday to your DS2, hope he has a lovely day :)

Hot, hot, hot here. About to tackle the rest of the ironing in a mo. H started it last night and the lounge ended up feeling like a sauna!
I also need to do some baking, make beds, hang washing and if I have time after all that mow the law although I may way to do that after tea.
Tea is bacon cakes with salad.

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day OS or not.

    ETA:

hester - According to HSE "Where, despite the provision of local cooling, workers are exposed to temperatures which do not give reasonable comfort, suitable protective clothing and rest facilities should be provided. Where practical there should be systems of work (for example, task rotation) to ensure that the length of time for which individual workers are exposed to uncomfortable temperatures is limited" so from where I am standing your air con is broken they should be offering you alternatives. Might be worth quoting this (or indeed contacting the HSE yourself perhaps) in order to give them a kick up the 'arris to get your air con fixed.

    Next 15min done.

Did some toast for DC1. Emptyed and filled the DW and started to fold and sort washing off the airers.

ETA: There goes my next 15min.

Cleared 2 airers and sorted and folded the washing off them. Broke a rung off one airer <rolls eyes> Washing out of the machine and another in. Washing hung up.

    So sorry Lou xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    And back again :D

Started to clear the hall. Emptied the two day sacs, from DH and DC1 being at cub camp.

Emptied and sorted 4 bags of clothes and books from the charity shop. Tried on any clothes for me, only 2 items don't fit, so not too bad. All the ones for me were Lara Ashley or Next so I was happy.

Put toys in the toybox to go upstairs. Picked up rubbish. Broke the reg. plate that went on the trailer tent from the old car and bunged it in the bin. Put shoes on the shoe shelf.
