Making progress ... My bed and spare bed stripped and bedding washed (last lot still on the line) so I have an ironing mountain :( I've moved all the bedroom furniture and hoovered, dewebbed and washed the floor. Landing has been cleared and the floor washed. Bathroom floor has also been washed. Need to go spend some time on my presentation before dealing with more domestic stuff. I have more presentations I need to write, but I'm not sure I'll manage it. However, I will feel better going away knowing the house is clean, and have started making enquiries about getting some help with the cleaning. Although I can manage most of the time, travelling really causes problems.

  • Going to go and water the garden for a bit (and ignore the phone ringing AGAIN) :(

Didn't go to Pets At Home today, but did pop into pet shop by the market and got their majesties some Applaws and Orijen, as, in the absence of any small jumping things on them, there has to be another reason for Queen Meep to be looking a bit threadbare - so I wondered about improving the food quality. She practically threw herself headfirst into the bowl, so I don't see her complaining about this development

Oh, and I'm giving them a trial on the 'World's Best Cat Litter' in an attempt to save me some cash by scooping and flushing the nasties, rather than bin bagging the lot. I may still go to PAH tomorrow if Minion goes out with her friends, but I might not either :)

Going to be one of those weekends, I fear. Lots of shopping and not much housework.

Ah well, I still have wine.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Evening,

Today I have done loads. i have vacuumed everywhere. Under things, sofas, cushions, corners. Whole house has been done.
Tomorrow morning, i want to get the 'soft furnishings' washed (stuff the cats sleep on) and on the line.
I also cooked a decent meal, and made a lemon cake. DH is going off to a cycling thing tomorrow, and is not back until Sunday, so i am going to have a leisurely time :-)
I also managed to get him to put the holiday cases back in the loft. All over for another year :-(
I've also been knitting a baby blanket I started ages ago. the young lady in question has now had the baby!!!!!
I was gona nip out and buy something, but DH has promised homemade. Men!

Off to bed now with my new book from the library :-)))))))) - oh and I changed our bed after I had vacd the mattress. Clean sheets mmmmmmmm
    xxxxxxx

House looking bit better than at beginning of week, started well, but I had a migraine on wednesday that hadn't really gone till today... Made birthday cake that mother came & picked up for her to share with camera club, also made 2 dozen rosewater & pistachio cupcakes to take round to mothers tomorrow afternoon. I'll make the icing before karate but as we'll be going on the bus, I'll have to ice them at mums, & bring all my icing stuff home...

Washing machine loaded with school shirts to put on in the morning, washed up cake stuff... now off to bed.
