Have a great time greenbee - when are you supposed to be going?
As soon as I'm packed up!

Dry cleaning in car...Ironing going well... Just taking a break to hang some curtains and put stuff away so I can see what's what. Need to unload the DW too...

Saving presentations to my laptop hard drive just in case it rains and I run out of things to read!

    DW emptied
Duvet airing on line (gets it out of the way while I'm packing!)
Don't think I'm going to get the spare room done, which means I don't need to iron the curtains as I don't want to put them up till its clean. Bedroom curtains can stay down too, so only one duvet cover and a few bits of clothes to iron.

Think I'll pack my kayaking/swimming/sailing/running/walking kit next...

    Morning....

Hope your party goes well Dusty Did I miss the reason behind it?

Our street has them about every 2 years, we have done since the silver jubilee. We always have them if there is a major event, Royal wedding, world cup etc but not when the event is actually happening as we always go for end of June beginning of July. This one is because it is 2 years since the last and a Royal Wedding. We to have one next year too for the Diamond Jubilee/Olympics.

Thanks for all the good wishes.

Off to supervising balloons being put up now.

    OK... swimming/kayaking/running/walking stuff packed.
    Towels & washing stuff packed
Clothes sorted (pretty randomly) so now need to find something to stuff them into
Really need to mow the lawn, then pack everything into the car so I can put the roof rack on (least favourite job) and get the kayak on before having a shower!

    Good afternoon.
Managed to clean the loo & sink in the bathroom after I got out of the shower this morning. Tried to print off some forms for art this morning, after sorting out a paper jam, only to find out DD2 has used all the ink  So I was then late for art, never mind :o Did a little painting, but not enough. On the plus side - there were rock cakes :j

DH has been busy this morning doing the garden. He is digging, and clearing excess soil that has been piled up when the compost heap was moved & when he put in sleepers. He is doing well, so don't want to disturb him :p i will go out & join him in a mo to plant what is left of the bedding i bought some while ago :o

DD2 has emerged from her room in search of bin bags & pink sacks :j sounds promising :D DS has just got dressed :(
DW on, need to find more washing.

just seen the time - we were going to walk the dog at 2pm as it is high tide! Must dash... (that garden frog is going to escape again!!)

Touch up's in DD's bedroom done, thats two rooms finished..:D

WM on it's third load only another five to do. Then i can get all bedding done tomorrow. Gives it good tomorrow so i best hook out the paddling pool, just incase. ;)

Right i suppose i should sort through all the bags of clothes on the hall windowsil and i'll put the suitcase back in the attic too..

Then me and hubby can sort out how Rhys is escaping from the garden, he ended up down at his granny's earlier when hubby was suppose to be keeping an eye on him.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Car packed with all but last box (food and laptop). So no excuse now not to drag out the mower, put the roof rack on the car, work out how to get the kayak down (OH slung it from the roof of the shed, I have no idea how to get it down :o) and shove it on the roof. THEN mow the grass, shower and head off via the dry cleaner and petrol station...

I'll need a holiday by the time I get there!

Could be worse. When I was 11 months my dad was meant to be keeping an eye on me and I fell down the stairs  He hadn't realised (and my mum hadn't said) that I'd learnt to crawl.

Anyway, the point was that blokes don't always 'get it' - he might not realise that Rhys has been escaping and so thought he was perfectly safe to be left in the garden for a bit.
Of course, if he knew, then grrrrr at him. :o
