paulies how about a small kids paddling pool filled with water for them to cool off in? We hosed down Oz last night - although that was because he was so wet and muddy rather than hot.

To all of the preggy flyers out there - please take it easy in this heat! It is only housework - not worth getting ill over! :p

So far today I have cleared the kitchen & moved the fridge to make way for my shed to be delivered (again!!), taken kids to school, taken DD1 to work for her first proper day :j She has a 12 hour shift  in this heat!!! She is working on the rides (because she was enthusiastic!) and was looking forward to it (except the length of the shift) DD2 & I then spent some time on the beach with Little Miss Sunshine :D it was glorious, but it was a spontaneous visit and we weren't prepared :o LMS's outfit has been rinsed out & is drying in the garden. i am sending her with DD2 to my friend's soon, as the shed is being delivered any time now, and it is being brought through the house, so that will be safer.

i haven't started the LR yet, as it is full of toys, and there are little piles of sand from the beach!! i am glad i didn't do it earlier now :D i may just wait until they have all gone home.

i think i may do some paperwork now, as it is too hot to do anything else. I will take the dog out this evening as it is deffo too hot for him at the mo (he needs a haircut!)

Catch up with you all later :)

If you are sick of hot, sunny weather then please send some this way, it is warmish but keeps raining and I would love to cut the grass if it ever dried.

    ETA torrential rain now
ajmoney - Good luck this week with getting your house sorted before the wedding and good luck for the big day. Have you tried a make-up counter makeover instead of a trial?

My first trial was with a professional salon, but my sister is a beautician so she is going to do it now. We were only paying someone else as a treat but sis was horrified when she saw the end product. She knows me and how much make up I wear, is dooing hers, mine and my mums and I trust here to make me look like me.

I have done a few bits, having a break for lunch then will carry on. Here is what is left on my list.

    My list for this week

Try printing off place cards and see if they work
Play about with ideas for front of menus
    Book wax appointment
    Email photographer about payment
Dress fitting (hopefully the last one)
Make up trial (with sister after disastrous professional attempt)

    Afternoon

I've done the living room, kitchen, hallway and up the stairs. I got nearly all the washing dry, just got a pair of jeans finishing off on the banisters that I had to grab when the heavens opened.

Got the back grass cut too.

My dog is soooo hot - he doesn't know what to do with himself :(

the back garden is in full sun at the moment, and I am waiting (impatiently :o) for my delivery, otherwise i would get his paddling pool out and let him have a splash about. i need to keep him in the LR until the delivery gets here, and DH dropped the fan from a great height yesterday as he was getting it out of the loft  so that is now out the front waiting to go to the tip :(

ETA I have just given him some ice cubes to play with :)
