I also recently saw a job advertised for Christians only (not a live in position) so it looks like there is still plenty of discrimination of all sorts about the place.

You can discriminate in jobs if there is an objective justification for the discrimination.

So, for example, M & S can advertise a bra-fitter job vacancy, an specify "women only".

Or a Church can specify on Christians for vicar jobs.

    That should not be allowed.

The man could be a perfect bra-fitter, hence they have a bigger hands :rotfl:

One of my friends had a big difficulty of finding a job as a carer as they said they only want women to care for women, however these women also care for a male patients, so why women can care for men, but not vice versa?

You will find that it is very difficult for a white straight male to bring a discrimination case against someone.

If the evidence is there, no more difficult than anyone else.

Ok then, how about when employers have so called ethnic awareness days, where women and members of ethnic minorities are given training days to make them aware of what the job consists of?

White males aren't invited to these days.

They call this positive discrimination, but I feel that any discrimination is wrong, and that everyone should be judged on their own merits, regardles of sex, race, religion, sexuality, etc...
