I was on fixed online 8 and have changed to your new fix 5 but have only just submitted my meter readings as of today. I did it over the phone as I was called this morning about my clubcard being attached and have logged in this afternoon and no bill has been generated. I have given my readings again over the internet and forgot to click on generate bill but have emailed them so they can do this which I thought the man this morning had done. He said he would.
Can you just confirm that my bill will be calculated at the old rate still as its only the 4th July (or at least most of it bar 3 days!!). I don't want to be ripped off with being charged all at the new rate.
Hi marshallka
You'll be billed on Fixonline 8 prices up to 1 July 2011. Estimates will be used if we don't have a reading logged for this day but these can be changed.
It takes approximately 24 hours before new bills can be seen online. Are you still unable to see a bill now?
If the account isn't in the billing window, readings entered online will not generate a bill unless the Real Time Billing option is chosen.
Online, readings can be back dated for 4 days only. Therefore, the most you can go back if entering readings today is last Saturday, 2 July.
Agents, though, can back date longer. If a bill hasn't been issued yet, ask for one to be done using the readings previously advised. The email you sent may have already achieved this.
Hope this helps but give me a shout if you need any more advice. Drop an email to the address in my Profile if you would like me to take a look as happy to do so.

Today signed up to transfer from EON (sorry to leave) to EDF Fixed Saver v2 (only 7% higher than EON Save Online 8). It's the best 1 year fixed rate deal out there for me at the moment, and I don't want to fix for longer.
The British Gas price hike by 16% to 18% made my mind up, as it seems that this level of rise is likely to be the norm for all energy companies rather than lower than the Scottish announcement a few weeks go.
I'll be happy to return to EON at the end of my EDF deal if they are offering a competative deal.0 -
Don't want to put the cat amongst the pigeons (I too have just transferred from Eon to EDF) but wish I had looked more closely at the EDF threads on here first, which seem to be increasing over the last week.0
