As molerat says, for accuracy it's best to let us have meter readings on 1 July 2011 and ask for a bill. You can do this through our website if you like.
Just log into your online account and click on meter readings. Enter the readings and click submit. A balance will appear with the option of requesting a bill.

Just thought I would clarify the situation with entering meter readings and requesting bills online.
These functions can be used whilst accounts are fully live and operational.
However, once another provider applies to take over a supply, accounts automatically go into a transitional stage as data is transferred between the losing and gaining suppliers as well as third parties like meter readers and distributors.
Our website is linked to the overall systems used to administer accounts. Therefore, once an account goes into a transitional loss pending stage, certain functions on the website are disabled. This includes the Real Time Billing and meter reading options.
In most cases, agents can override these blocks for a certain period of time before the account transfers. This allows them to enter readings and issue bills for customers.
Hope this makes things a little clearer. Let me know if anyone needs any more info as will be happy to help.

Just been on the phone to E.on and have been told that a new tariff Save online 8 duel fuel is available but can not see it online, have been told it has only started today.
Could the E.on representative please confirm this

Yes, that's right. We released two new tariffs this morning, Saveonline 8 and Track and Save 10.
Don't have too may details at the moment as only recently briefed.
Many apologies for the delay updating the website. Work is ongoing on this as I write. Not sure how long this will take yet.

Wonder no more! Every kWh you use today will have cost the supplier exactly the same in the wholesale market, whatever tariff you're on. Therefore, in answer to your question, the varying tariffs and pricing structures available serve only to confuse the consumer.
The Eon rep has just stated that 2 shiny brand new tariffs have been launched today. Whenever these so called 'products' are introduced, I always have a vision of someone from the energy company, sat over his laptop till the early hours, in front of an Excel spreadsheet, playing around with figures that don't upset the bottom line profit margin. Heads they win, tails we lose, but some lose more than others!0 -

Just checked Eon Saveonline 8 and Track and Save 10 on Energy Helpline. Both of these are variable tariffs, showing a 24% increase for me over FOL8 (NW average usage). I've already switched to nPower GoFix6, which gives me a fixed 24% increase, and EDF fixed V2 gives a similar increase. So of no benefit to me anyway, assuming variable prices will rise over the next 12 months.
The cynical in me thinks that perhaps Eon have introduced these 2 tariffs to move their name up the comparison site tables for the average/high user consumer. They wouldn't do that would they?0 -
For me as a slightly above average user they come in at the same price as their predecessors.0

Anyone who has stuck with e.on and spoke to an agent to switch are best advised to check their online account as they have not switched me over to the tariff that they promised to do on 1 july!0
