    Hi everyone
Hope that you all manage to complete your tasks today!!! You all seem so busy Ifeel totally put to shame.:o
So far the lovely lady from the Home Library Service has been & delivered my next laod of books to read & some audio books on CD which have been really good (even though I can't remember much as soon as the story moves on )
The birds have finally decided the new feeders that OH put out a fortnight ago are safe & have devoured 2 fat balls this morning.
It is rather chilly here & the heating is on the blink so I am wrapped up like nanook of the north!!!
Have finished wrapping the last of the presents today & only the last few local cards for OH to deliver tonight.
Have heard from solicitor that the sale of Mom's house has gone through OK, so that's one less thing to worry about.
Going to see Mom in the nursing home tonight when OH gets home from work.
Next couple of days are going to be a bit busy. Tomorrow OH is off so I was going to go out for a last look at the shops but don't know if we will manage it as I have to wait in for District Nurse who can't say what time she will arrive. Friday have Doctors appt at 8.30am t o fit it in before OH leaves for a late shift.
Anyway hope you all have a good & productive day
    Love from Sue

    Afternoon!

Ok guys - very important question here:

I am thinking about doing my online food shopping, ready for delivery on the 27th/28th December. BUT...should I wait until after Christmas, in case Tesco put loads of offers on then?? Looking at fixture ferrets, most of the current offers finish on Jan 1st. Hmmm...

So far today have done the washing up (there was a lot of it). Planning another compy day today as OH is at work, but wants the next two days solely to do his essay in, which means I'll have to give up the compy. THEN (and only then, when there is no other alternative way of occupying my time)will I clean the flat.

So, have a good day all x

Afternoon everyone :hello: ME again! :D

I survived Mr T's, no thanks to their displays in the middle of the aisles, which are tricky to maneovure around at the best of times, but fighting against 5x the amount of normal shoppers is a 'mare.

I've also treated myself to a coffee and choccy brownie in one of our little coffee shops. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. And I've bought myself a little Christmas present..... it's a new recipe book. It's in aid of the local church and the "playbus" that they sponsor in South America, so all the recipes were donated by local people and businesses both here and in South America. So, it's all in aid of a good cause  There are some lovely sounding, easy recipes so I look forward to having a go at some of them.

I was supposed to be going to the cinema this evening with a friend, but she's ill. Although I'd like to go to see the film (The Holiday, which DH won't go to see!), I can't help but feel my time is better spent reading my new recipe book. :D This is whilst DH is baking his choccy beetroot muffins. :p

Supper tonight is a chicken stir fry with plenty of veggies and noodles.

    Bye all

  • Hi there everyone

First time on here so be gentle:p

I am nearly all sorted for christmas, I have all my pressies bought and wrapped (and hidden). I have my menu all planned and am planning to go shopping at the weekend - Yes I am mad!!

I am just enjoying all the fun christmassy things with my kids now (they are 4 and nearly two. In the last week I have seen Santa Claus the movie about fifty five times and watched the NORAD Santa Trailer about 200 times.

Today I have made myself a nice long list of things to do before Sunday ( It took that long I could have done half the jobs on there whilst I was writing it!).

Todays jobs are : Sort out some of the kids toys to pop into the Charity Shop
    Tidy out my paperwork drawer
Pay any bills due in the next two weeks
Wash Bath and Bathroom sink (So far I have done the sink)
    Mop the kitchen Floor
Attemp to make home made sausage rolls

I am nearly done and just have the sausage rolls to tackle.

Not quite sure what I am doing there but I think they should be easy enough!

Hello peeps, had a busy old morning which started with the (2nd) new dishwasher being delivered at 8am. Comet hadn't sent a qualified electrician to wire it in (we have fused spurs in the kitchen instead of plugs) so it had to go back again , so we're stuck with the trashed one til the 27th. At least I can still use it......

Nelski - you have my sympathies. It took me 3 1/2 hours to drive back from visiting a client in Loughborough yesterday because of the fog. The M6 was horrific. Tomorrow I'm going to London on the train (15 hour day) and Friday some kind person has arranged a meeting in Newcastle for the afternoon  That's going to be a fun trip home (not)

VickyA - I fancy seeing the Holiday too, but like yours, my OH refuses! Shame we don't live nearer or we could have gone together.

I could do with popping out for petrol/post a letter/a few bits from Morrisons but my coffee maker from amazon is due today, so I just know that as soon as I step out of the door it'll arrive. If I stay in all day it won't come til tomorrow

    Festive hugs to all :rudolf:

Afternoon all - hope we are well

    sickofhavingnomoney welcome!

Came home from work to lots of post, 1 being a court summonds for rent arrears! WHAT! i paid up last month after numerous of agreements with the local council, but apparently they started the claim before I paid up. Nothing at all was mentioned ref court, no letters or visits - nothing! And cos of that, Ive still got to attend court in Jan and have incurred the court fees also! They have apologised to me via the phone, but they cant stop the order now. Happy Christmas to me! Grrrr!

Also, a christmas card arrived for my kids from my sister who they've not seen or heard from her for nearly 3yrs now. (family row caused us to fall out, hence no contact - thats another story so I wont go there) She had the nerve to post it via my ex MIL who lives in B'ham (my sister lives less than 2 miles from my house) Ive wrote on the envelope "if you cant be bothered to post directly to my house, then dont bother at all", Im considering putting it thru her door. But that might bring me down to her level, I dont know what to do now! I know in a way its spiting the kids, but what she did to me - involved my kids, which I will never forget, she is a nasty and spiteful individual, and thats the reason there has been no contact. When me and my ex split up, she took his side, and reported me to the social services for leaving my kids un-attended in the house and accused me of bunny boiling my ex at all hours, (if people new me and the situation - they can verify, that its my ex who used to stalk me!) anyway, cos of that, I was investigated by the social services and so was the kids. It was a nightmare, but the SS ended the report on a high note in my favour, saying that there was nothing to be concerned about, happy family etc, and put it down to a vicious act on my sisters part. Ive not seen or spoken to her since! So hopefully now - you can understand my anger in this situation.

Bunny still not any better, he's not worse, but very little improvement. He was holding his head up yesterday to feed himself, but today, we've gon back to feeding by hand. :( watch this space!

Chicken & mushroom, with campbells mushroom soup (for a sauce) & pasta for dinner. Its very yummy & filling, but after the day Im having, I dont feel up to cooking.

DLB credit is given where credit is due, you are a great neighbour and couldn't ask for anybody worse - erm I mean better! (bet your'e thinking differently - lol)

Ive been home for over an hour, babysitter soon went as I came in, so Im going to tidy around, iron uniforms for work 2mr, and have a cuppa before fetching OH from work. And get the WM on, its piling up again

Have a lovely evening all, still dont know what to do ref card from my sis!
Take care & love as usual
