Well I'm off to bed. *yawn*. I am so knackered. Just got out the shower. I should have shaved my legs but I would need to rip out the lawn mower :D so couldn't be bothered. I'm sure DGS won't mind. ;) Hope to do some baking tomorrow & house tidying.

Nelski Your day yesterday sounded awful. Well the airport bit did.

Jellycat Try and not to worry. (((((hugs))))) She WILL want to come home to you but she will enjoy the holiday with her dad.

Have a great day everyone & be good. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hello Eveyone

Back at work after being off sick for two days. Should really still be at home, but don't want to start losing money.

Really hope I can shake this thing by Christmas, I hate being ill then. Drinking a horrible lemsip thing right now. I hate those things.

Still loads to do at home to get ready for the big day.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Hi everyone :hello:

Hey Nelski!!! I know all about flights being delayde/cancelled because of fog... (((hugs))) But at least you had a nice flight when you got on one! :)

Ohhhhhh busy busy day yesterday! packed a lot of work in it, so now I have some slack until the new year!

This morning just a few chores, now having some lunch - tofu in a tomato and basil sauce, a nice apple - then at about 2 pm I'll go out to do a survey. I'm hoping to have finished all work tomorrow, but I have left some time on Friday just in case.

My task over the holiday is to to through all my old paperwork etc. and shred all that I no longer need - and that should take care of the equivalent of 3 or 4 A4 boxes!

This morning I made a wonderful discovery: my new double glazed windows can be cleaned perfectly well with just microfibre - they come out fantastic! So that's another little saving.:D

EDIT - oh scuzz, I'm self employed so I know how it feels - no work no money, even if it's just one day :(
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

((((((((((Jellycat))))))))))) Of course she'll want to come home to her Mum.

Cellophane bought from florist but I'm sure I got ripped off on the price, seems very expensive to me :( Saved a bundle at the butchers though as he sold me a huge piece of smoked ham for a fiver, if I put it through the slicer it will provide sandwich fillings for weeks! Also popped into the chemist and stocked up on the basic neccesities for christmas. I bet no one even has a sniffle now though :D

Afternoon all, hope everyone is well. Been slogging my guts out all morning getting housework done, but it's nearly time to stop that as have to get showered and changed for my childrens Christmas Concert soon. Then off to my Nana's tonight to drop her presents off as she lives a fair distance away and she is off to stay with other relatives over Christmas.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hello everyone :)

    Jellycat - hugs to you.

I have been laid up in bed since friday but have finally just about got over my tummy bug. 4 days of inactivity meant I was a bit too eager this morning and headed off to do my christmas shop at 7.30am this morning after spending 20mins de-icing the car. I was there 'til 9am but I am not setting foot inside another supermarket until after christmas. Came home, unpacked and then took the children to an indoor play centre and I am cream crackered. I now feel like I'm going down with a cold (if it was OH he would call it flu  ) which makes sense as ds has one.

So all of my important stuff is done. the children and I are going to make some decorations for our yule log this afternoon (picked up some great ideas over on the christmas board), the washing and hoovering needs to be done. Dinner is chicken and roasted root veggies but I haven't eaten properly since last week and am a bit wary so might have soup.

Have a good day and stay warm everyone :)

    Hi everyone,

Up late this morning, I woke with a headache and took a couple of tablets and went back to sleep for a while. Got to w*r* at 11.

I'm feeling very ashamed of myself becauseI can't read Pennywatcher's sig without a giggle. "He puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore":rotfl:

Tonight I must wrap a couple of presents that have arrived over the last couple of days. I also want to make some more mince pies. I'm panicking that a couple of presents I ordered for DS to give his GF have not arrived yet and he goes to see her tomorrow for the last time before Christmas.

In my hallway at the mo are: a magnum of pink champers, one of normal, two ordinary bottles of pink, a case of red wine and a case containing white wine and yet more champagne. DD sent it up, some of it is her Christmas bonus, the two magnums I bought through her to give to DS' girlfriend' mother as a wedding present (30th December). DD couldn't transport the bottles to her flat so they are with us until she moves into her new place in January.

Two more days at w*r* then off to the Wirral for Christmas, I always get to this stage and think I'd rather stay home but DH, DD and DS love it.
