my samsung today decided not to take a video at a crucial time!!! said it was but there was nothing to play back. came home and re read the booklet and i switched it off and on and its working now grrrrr. any idea why that happened??

I was just going on what someone else mentioned, so I'm not taking a chance after all the parlarva to get things sorted. When I phoned T-Mobile, the woman I spoke to said 'you can surf the internet as much as you like now, with Walk & Web.' I didn't know what it was so looked it up and it's just T-Mobile's version of the Internet (apparently) but I don't need it so I didn't go any further with it.

Cant get the ace now - apparently it was a mistake and they should never have been sent out!
I'm waiting for LG or Apollo...Offered X8 but rejected it. This was the right thing to do ???

I would go for LG if you can get i think there is an official upgrade to 2.3 available. I ended up with the X8 as it was all they would offer and I was told I could return if it was'nt what I wanted.
Tried to return it on Friday and told them I could add the Apollo to my basket online so I would like that instead. I was told by two different departments that Apollo was highly unlikely to become available (error on website was being investigated) and if I returned the X8 they would have to cancel everything and reorder i.e. no cashback or reduced payments for the year.

I am now going to make the most of the X8 as I can't be bothered with faffing about trying to sell it and then trying to figure out what phone to get next. As the x8 is stuck on 2.1 the first thing I need to figure out is which custom rom to stick on it.

I would suggest ringing back at morning shift / evening shift until you get a CS rep who will send you a Samsung Galaxy Ace since they have run out of the Apollo. (Several of us seem to have got the Galaxy Ace so it's not completely out of the question).

You may have already tried this but, if not, might be worth a go?

I got the galaxy ace. Initially they sent me out the lg p500, but I didnt like it.I rang back and said I had been offered the lg p500 or the x8 or the galaxy ace. As it was hard to compare over the phone and my oh was away i chose the lg phone. My boyfriend said that the galaxy was better so I refused delivery of the lg and phoned cs. At first the lady refused so i asked to speak to a manager as it seemed unfair to offer me the phone and then say I couldnt have it. I was offered a call back. I waited about 3 hours. When I got the call back I was offered the galay ace. Which I now have. Hope this helps
