Morning everyone,
Greetings from cloudy Scotland! Hope you are having better weather down south than we are here. I'm still riding high from the triumph of paying off my credit cards, still not quite sure I believe it. Am looking forward to ringing up this week and closing the Santander account and lowering my NW credit limit (want to keep this for travelling for work - will be in the freezer otherwise though:p).
So, my list for today:
[STRIKE]Apply for Halifax Reward Account (with NO overdraft:D)
Breakfast and lunch at parent's house[/STRIKE]
Do preparation for chartership meeting this week
[STRIKE]Dinner from food I batch cooked yesterday (chilli or lasagne, see what OH fancies).[/STRIKE] Veggie lasagne & chips, nom nom nom.
[STRIKE]Get light bulbs for security lights from B&Q.
Go for a walk for free exercise
Ironing and washing put away[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]PAD to Overdraft
Register with fonebank to sell old ipod touch[/STRIKE]
Was going to be a NSD but I forgot about the bulbs so I will settle for a LSD instead.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday. Holland sounds lovely, am v jealous. Although, it is breakfast time in Scotland too.
T xxLa_escocesa wrote: »Sunday Breakfast time in Scotland is so much better though! I could go a nice roll and square sausage and tattie scone!
Ooh, flat sausage roll sounds lush - I went for the bacon and egg roll instead though. Started out with great intentions of being healthy but as soon as I smelled it it was too yummy to resist.
Thanks for the good wishes on the credit card front everyone. Made my first ever mid-month PAD to my overdraft tonight, felt a bit odd (and really good) not to be paying it to a card!Debts at Highest £18600Overdraft £550/£900Egg Loan currently £6253Credit cards - GONE AGAIN as of 26/07/11THIS TIME IT'S FOR REAL!Aiming for DFD 26/01/20120 -

Good morning all!
Aria's Tail that is so funny about your OH...make his life a misery today...hehehehehe
, also tigermoon I don't think I have realised before about your cards, so a massive WELL DONE from me, that's fantastic! dnms I hope the hangover goes soon but that the night was worth it!
Well, I didn't get a load done yesterday, chores yes, OU work no. I hope I knuckle down today as my best friend suggested her the husband and the baby may be going to Blaise Castle (lovely big green place with walks and a teeny castle) that isn't too far away, so I'd really like to go along but can't if I don't do enough work etc. Also we thought it was going to be lovely today, but looking out my windows, one side is lovely blue sky and the other is that wierd artificial brightness reflecting off clouds that looks like it might hammer it down! So we'll see what the day brings!
Yesterday went embarassingly hideous in the middle when I went for my shop - I went through the self-service checkouts and had finished and paid and was putting my bags one at a time onto my trolley and the man who was next started trying to get all his stuff on there before I was gone, he could see I was still using it! That is a MASSIVE pet peev of mine, and I was so annoyed, so as I stormed off saying very loudly "well that was F-ing rude", unfortunately I swung around too quick and my sticky toffee pudding went FLYING out of the little trolley so I had to scrabble around on the floor for it whilst this man was staring at me, and amusingly while I was doing this got tangled up with the man at the next checkout who the checkout lady was trying to accost as she said he hadn't paid and he was trying to walk away, and I'd managed to inadvertently block him with my trolley!!! All very embarassing - moral of the story is don't get on your high horse unless you're sure you won't be embarassed minutes later and look like an idiot! Then to top it off when I was unloading stuff at home I turned round for a min, heard a smash, turned back and saw the tikka masala paste I'd bought specially to batch cook chicken (and veg!) tikkia masala had rolled out of the bag and smashed on the floor. Bye bye £1.79  I was going to try and retrieve some of it, but there was glass everywhere and in the end I decided it wasn't worth the risk... some things I find acceptable, some not and eating glass I don't!!! :rotfl:

Hello there :hello:
Not really decided what I'm doing today. Might pop down to SIL's.
Went to the inlaws last night - lots of lovely food OH cooked, got 2 dresses that MIL didn't want (result!) and MIL took all our laundry off us to hang outside so we didn't have to use our TD.
Good times.
Updated spending diary - £10 taxi and £12 I've had to pay temporarily for my sis - seeing her in July.
Reading Emma - free download.
Putting any pennies in the jar.
Clearing up and (still) clearing out...
Keeping it simple today.

Hey everyone,
Sorry for not posting yesterday, I wasn't feeling very DFW as I has a disasterous night out on Friday! Really wondering who my real friends are & how I can sort out the toxic cow from hell  & apparently, my ex, still not sure what's going on there...usually we always say hi, how's it going, etc, & this time when I went to say hi to him he walked straight past me!
General jist is we were all out for a mutual friend's birthday, but hardly anyone came over to speak to me, my OH & our friend who I shall call Emma....who hasn't been out for a proper night out for over a year as she had a baby. We tried to join in & it was ok in the first pub we went to, but the second one was so cramped in this little room downstairs that it was hard to go over to people. The 3 of us went to the loo, leaving our jackets over our chairs & we came back down to find my OH's coat was shoved in the corner, Emma's chair had been moved, & my coat was on the f****** floor! The table we were sat at had been moved as well, & other people had joined toxic cow from hell, ex & co & there was actually nowhere for us to go except stand in the corner by ourselves, so we left...
Really annoyed at that, don't know what's going on as I thought the only one who hated me was toxic cow from hell...& even then, the last time we were out she actually gave me a compliment & said my new hair colour was nice. Confused.com
Anyway sorry for the rant, needed to get that off my chest I think, it's still bugging me & has really ruined my weekend
Anyway on with my list, must stay focussed & not let it bother me anymore:-- [STRIKE]Heating off [/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Food from stores[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Charge phone via pc[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Washing on eco setting[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hang up to dry[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Continue with the declutter[/STRIKE] - managed to fill a whole bin bag yesterday
I was slightly DFW at least... - [STRIKE]Look at musicmagpie[/STRIKE] - never used it before but have finally gone through the duplicate CD's & DVD's we have since moving in officially together, hoping to make a few pounds at least!
- Go over wedding budget & see where I can get an extra £200 from for flowers...I'm not going to get the basics for less then that let alone what we'd really like!

- [STRIKE]Check out flylady thread, not done very much this week but need to pop on & say hi at least![/STRIKE]

Can anyone tell me if it's worth entering the competitions on music magpie? They look like the kind that send you TONNES of spam afterwards...can anyone confirm this?
Also, is it worth signing up to Toluna? How often do you get surveys & how often have you claimed vouchers?:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57
