Egg have recently sold all their CC accounts to Barclays and I believe im not 100% sure Egg have also now sold all their loan accounts too,
from Egg:
What's happening to my Egg Loan? We recently agreed to transfer ownership of Egg Loans to a new provider. Please note, before the transfer takes place, your new provider will write to you, explaining what will happen to your Egg Loan and how you can continue to service your account.
For now, we still have ownership of your Egg Loan and your account remains the same. Please be assured, we will work closely with your new provider to ensure a smooth transition.
How this affects your complaints or who to contact regarding your loan etc im unsure. May be someone with a little more info could shed more light on the subject.
May be worth a call to them to see what they have to say

Yes, I got the letter today too. My Egg loan finished in January. I wrote to egg to claim back my PPI and they acknowledged receipt on 13th May, so I have until 8th July for them to respond. Low and behold I receive a letter this morning as follows:-
'Important news from Egg banking plc concerning your previous egg loan'
We want to give you some important news regarding the egg loan you previously held. Following recent discussions the egg loan business will be transferred from Egg Banking plc to Britannica Recoveries Sarl acting in the name of and behalf of its compartment Moorgate (Britannica-Moorgate) and will be serviced by Moorgate Loan Serviceing Ltd. This transfer will take place on 11th July 2011.
We appreciate you have now fully paid off your egg loan, but as a result of the transfer, Britannica - Moorgate will replace Egg as the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 from 11th July 2011.
What Happens Next
Should you in the future require any information on the loan you previously held with Egg you should now contact Moorgate Loan Servicing Ltd.
Great, does this mean we need to start the claim process again, is this egg worming their way out of the claims? DO we need to write to Moorgate or as Ive already had acknowledgement from Egg that they are dealing with my complaint that they should see it through? Why do these letters always land ona saturday morning just to annoy me for the weekend ? As my 8 weeks expires beofre the official transfer date will i be dealing with egg or moorgate. Anyone any ideas what to do now? ThanksProud to be dealing with my debts

My loan finished in 2007 but I only sent my claim in last week. Not had "the letter" yet but surely if Egg had had all the money then it should be them who pay it back!!!:beer:0

I have received a letter from Egg saying they are still dealing with my complaint. They also said it has been longer than 8 weeks because they are dealing with a large number of cases and will get back to me by the 25th of August. I originally claimed via the financial services ombudsman who contacted egg on my behalf. I made a claim on the grounds that I was led to believe taking out the PPI was compulsory but wasn't given a chance to mention to the financial services ombudsman the following points:
1) I was employed at the time but your staff did not inform me that any change to this could invalidate sections of the policy during its life. I was not asked about any intended charges or informed or warned of their effects on the policy.
2) Your staff stated or led me to believe that taking out a policy would improve my chances of a successful application for a loan.
3) Your staff did not offer me a clear choice of the loan with and without insurance.
4) Your staff did not give me an illustration showing the repayments with and without insurance until after I signed for the insurance.
Is it worth contacting the financial services ombudsman again and stating these points to them? If I contact them should I let them know it's been longer than 8 weeks since I made the complaint or just wait until Egg get back to me?0 -
You should wait for Egg, it will not make them go any faster than they are and the FOS will take longer.0
