Morrisons - will they ever go online?

That's interesting, my mum used to work for them and as of April they were saying there were no plans at all to move into internet shopping.
They've been talking about it for months, we got a little leaflet thing that folded up and it was something like "10 new things we're doing this year" and home shopping was one of the things mentioned. Was all over staff areas too big posters. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I've not long left Morrisons and they've been trialling home shopping services for a few months, so I'm assuming it'l be up and running in the not so distant future.
Got to agree with the quality of meat, amazing value for money, can get a couple of Ribeye steaks for under a fiver usually0 -
One thing I love about Morrisons is their sliced bread, far tastier then any of the other stores can muster & very reasonably priced too :beer:0

morrisons are pits. Over faced products with wrong shelf edge label.Poor quality cheap products. Recent survey on home shopping put tesco in number one place. Tesco producte are superior in every way and cheaper. Don't be fooled by morrisons.
Spot on regarding ambiguous pricing and the crap household products are - well - crap, but for me - certainly in our local Morrisons, my annoyance is the requirement to dodge all of the obstructions in the aisles, although staffing at tills is also a nightmare on a Friday as well.
At Doxford Park - Sunderland, the shop is filthy - water from leaking fridges being soaked up with sawdust - just like butchers shops when they used to spread sawdust on the floor to mop up the blood! Have they not heard of more hygienic absorbent booms?
And it will only be a matter of time before someone is hurt there - they place those bl**dy great stacks of heavy plant pots, large bags of wood chips, fencing and other stuff in the middle of aisles - people pick from the lowest point of the pallet leaving a precarious situation.
One of those pots will kill a kid.
The annoying thing is though, we live 2 minutes from a Tesco Extra, but make the 16 mile round trip to this hell hole every week!
Certainly not my choice - but anything to keep the peace!..and what's more it's 100% British no foreign much in Morrisons:beer:
I wasn't aware we grew pineapples, mangoes and bananas here in the UK!0 -
Eh? Where do you get that from then? Yes they support British but most of the fruits are from Spain and other lands.dickydonkin wrote: »<sniped>

I think you'll find that the poster you quoted was replying to a statement about the meat, and not about fruit or veg.
I have to agree with the whoopsies being rubbish at Morrisons. I do like their bakery and salad bar though. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
How anyone can say Tesco is superior in every way to Morrisons! It is much nicer shopping in Morrisons, they usually have better offers & good fresh food. Although their self service tills are annoying to put it mildly
Tesco are bullies, to suppliers, customers & especially farmers. They think the only way is the "Tesco way". They are ruining our high streets & putting a lot of small businesses out of business.
Here in leicester at the last count we had 3 Tesco's in the city centre within walking distance of each other & another 3 or 4 not much further away! Why do planners keep letting them open new stores? At this rate their will be a Tesco on every street by the end of the decade! It'll be one of those situations where everyone knows someone who works for Tesco (if they don't already)
I do appreciate that Tesco are creating plenty of jobs but it almost seems like it's Tesco or nothing.0 -

I think you'll find my statement was made tongue in cheek! It is much nicer shopping in Morrisons
Try their Doxford Park outlet near Sunderland on a Friday evening (see my previous post) - your views might change.
I am convinced there is a staff morale issue at that store.0 -
All this love for Morrisons. They do good deals on some products but Asda meat is far better and there's more variety. I guess it depends on your store, the Morrrisons i go to is large but not as large as the Asda. Still, Morrison's is nowhere near as cheap or has the variety of asda.0

More nonsense for a Morrisons fanboy. The stoneground is ok but no better than asda!0
