Teachers strike on Thursday

What are you all planning on doing with your children if you work?

I am lucky they can come to work with me but some of my friends are not so lucky, they cant get time off work and are really stuck.

It's not all unions, we had a letter to say we would be unaffected.

I have taken the day off work, as my DD's school is closed that day due to strike action.

6 out of 14 classes at my son's school are off - his class isn't affected which didn't surprise me knowing his teacher.

knowing ds's school we'll probably get a text message on Wednesday saying they are closed on Thursday!

It's not a problem for me as I'm currently unemployed but it will be a nightmare for my friends who work.....looks like I might have a house full of kids on Thursday.

My son's school is closing. Fortunately my mum can take him and as a former teacher she's all in favour of the strike action.

I work full time so can't take time off but luckily my OH is self-employed so can cancel his days work ... he is a plasterer so it is costing him approx £150. Cheers teachers!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
