Alleycat wrote:Not quite on that scale, but I bought a huge roll of sticky tape last month and can't find it for love or money now. Really need it too, as I ran out half way through wrapping yesterday. I'm loathe to buy another roll as I bet it turns up as soon as I do.
What you should do, is this weekend or whenever you've got some time is to literally comb the house. Start off by the front door and meticulously go through every drawer, cupboard, behind and underneath all furniture etc.
Alternatively you could borrow two small children. Offer them £20 each to find them and let them loose. I bet they find them in record time with that incentive!!
Good luck, I really do hope you find them. If you really can't then maybe print off the pictures of them, explain what happened and give the pictures as promises?
I lost some cellotape the other day too, I'd used it literally seconds ago & it seemed to completely vanish without trace. I turned the kitchen, the lounge & my bedroom upside down before I realised it was on my wrist. :rolleyes:٩(̾●̮̮̃̾•̃̾)۶ __̴ı̴̴̡̡̡ ̡͌l̡̡̡ ̡͌l̡*̡̡ ̴̡ı̴̴̡ ̡̡͡|̲̲̲͡͡͡ ̲▫̲͡ ̲̲̲͡͡π̲̲͡͡ ̲̲͡▫̲̲͡͡ ̲|̡̡̡ ̡ ̴̡ı̴̡̡ ̡͌l̡̡̡̡0 -
MissGosh that sounds like something I would do. My cousin did the worst, couldn't find his cigarette which he'd just lit, he was looking everywhere then realised his ear and hair were burning. Ooooops :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........

Hope you find them soon!" Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start now and make a brand new ending. "0 -
I lost a £20 argos gift voucher I bought for my mom, It wasnt until I had a thank you not from a friend to thank me for the lovely toy and voucher I gave her son, ( I only spend a fiva on him) I had wrapped it up without realising. She must have thought I was rich.0

I've just discovered what one of my pressies is thanks to hunting for DH's missing present (which I still haven't found). The idiot managed to leave the box under the sofa so I now know I am getting a Sabatier carving set for christmas, oh joy!
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

A good way to remember where things are is to reconstruct the last time you had them and think what would I do with them next?
That has done it for me a few times.
The worst problem for me is when I am distracted when I am putting something away,Im not thinking about it at all and the thing can end up in stupid places for instance keys in the fridge...0 -
After remembering how bad I was last year I am wrapping and sorting presents tonight to save me dashing about Xmas eve trying to find them all. Going to bag up for each house we are visiting to get it organised and tape the bags up so nothing falls out. Luckily the local shop opens for an hour Xmas day so if I loose a gift there is alcohol, choccies, smellies, some toys etc there. Fingers crossed nothing is missing. One day I might be more organised...........
