    Afternoon

I made proper Jam last night for the first time - I'm pleased with the reults - hopefully it will taste good when its opened. Foraged the Blackberries and the sugar worked out at about 60p and I made 3 jars of it. The recipe was very easy to follow so I'll be doing more of that.

Need to gather receipts and update my siggy as I'm starting to loose control and I need to grab back the feeling

    Hi everyone

Wish I could just delete my post from yesterday about being sensible and not spending £40 at Mr T just because of the £5 off voucher I had or maybe I could just pretend that its not there! I went into town to get some birthday cards & wrapping paper & found myself wandering into Mr T "just to have a little look"! Well as you can guess £46 spent, £41 after using the voucher. I am sort of pleased with what I bought (well apart from the frozen chips that were not on offer) but on the other hand, some of it defintely wasnt necessary such as the 8 packets of chocolate bars just because they were 82p a packet! What can I say! Then if that wasn't bad enough, I went into mr S & got some cooking marg, a gluten free pizza & some B & J icecream!

Forgot to say that in mr T I got a £6 off a £40 tillspit to be used by the 21st, i,e, before payday! Aargh!

Funny month for us - hol last week and kids away this week. But spending a fortune on petrol so the joint £500 pubget for fuel and food will definately be weighted towards fuel this month. Hopiong for £200 for food - hol shop was £30, will onyl spend a few quid this week on milk and bread and fruit as eating out and odd freezer combos for OH and I. Need to stock up on a few non food groceries like dw stuff too.

Thought I best update my expenditure so far this month £130.22 so far!

Must admit most of this has gone on batch cooking and getting started with lots of ingredients etc so I imagine my costs will come down dramatically. I've already got several meals and parts of meals all frozen, which is something new in this household.

Hopefully next week will be better :)
