Need to update my spends so far this month. Last week I spent £94.92 against my *weeks* budget of £100 and this week I just spent £8.76 in Morrisons (yikes I only went in to buy milk ) and a Tesco delivery order that I've just processed is £53.12 - weeks budget should be £40!
Grand total to date £156.80. That leaves me with £103 for the next 3 weeks... still I did buy some things that are not for this week, but for the freezer and future meals so I don't feel too bad about it.0 -
I'm in for £500 this month please as we're camping for a week and I tend to buy more packets foods etc. Won't count food out though I will try to keep track. Takeaway tonight as just back from a 3 day camping trip and very tired!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Spent another £9 today.
But in my defence I did pop in to Home and Bargains and picked a few items that there branded but cheaper than supermarkets standard range.
Then when I went to cook tea had run out of frozen veg so a quick dash own to iceland.

:wave:Please can you put me down for £400 again this month.Don't quite know what happened to July:o I've already had the Asda home delivery on the 28th July at £185.39 so the cupboards are stocked. Fingers crossed it should only be shopping for fresh fruit and veg now for the rest of the month!Sept GC £131/£3000

Hello, This is my first time doing a challange but my spending on food has gotten WAY out of control. Currently spending £160+ (at least, I don't exactly keep count....) a week on groceries, toiletries and household stuff, just for 2 adults, 2 kids under 5 and a cat. It makes me feel sick how much i'm spending, but I like to eat well! I KNOW I can eat well without spending this much though.
So, I'm going down for £460 a month. Not exactly thrifty, but I'll get there! My tesco shopping arrived today, it cost £114 , so that leaves me with £102 pounds a week, assuming I dont spend anything more this week, which isn't likely as we need nappies and milk.
God....I hate money sometimes......:pWorking my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!0 -

Has anyone tried their loo rolls (Nicky ones)?
£3.99 for 18 and they're quilted and great quality - not like some of the cheap ones you pick up.
They also do a great wood cat litter for £1.29 for 5 litres - shame it only comes in wee bags but great at that price!Hi Risng from the ashes I don't mind you using me as an example at alland welcome too..
As dh gets paid on the 19th this is better for me to run my month from then onwards, so I started my 'August GC' on 19th July, it is easier for me to do this than say call that July and then I would still be posting on the July one for a couple of weeks when no-one is around. It is a bit awkward and I might try when we move house to start working to a calendar month actually.. I could then dip out for a couple of weeks work on my own weekly challenge and then join in for the full month iyswim....
Thanks!:D I think I'll stick to the calendar month - it will balance out over the month.
I tend to be on the "spend as little as poss" wagon for the next few days until I know the cut-off date has passed!
So, probably (or rather hopefully) not a lot of spends to report until after the weekend!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
