But you are only losing a few Euros, so it's not a big deal. But refill via Bank Transfer.
Modified my sentence.
Dare I ask where the few Euros difference comes from?0 -
No balance on the card, assuming it is still 0% for purchases for meals etc, so I will use that and stick a couple of hundred on the Cash Passport (its not a globe one, does that make a difference?). Cant see how to load it online either - am i being a bit thick?
Thanks for your advice

No, I am not sure. I did phone them yesterday to confirm and the person I spoke to said yes, they did sell Travelex cards. However, in retrospect, I am not sure if I mentioned the word 'Globe'. Will phone back after 10.30 this morning when the outlet opens.Abandoned0 -
Phoned again this morning and asked if they sold the Travelex Cash Passport card and the girl replied yes. When I asked if it was the globe card, she said no, it was the Thomas Cook version they sold.Abandoned0

Thanks for taking the time to confirm. The Thomas Cook version is not to be compared to the Globe card, in the case that someone is considering the Thomas Cook card. The Thomas Cook card charges 2% for topups.0 -
Also taking $travellers cheques. Am I right in thinking that they cost the same anywhere and that therefore it doesn't matter where you buy?Abandoned0

No - incorrect. They vary as much as cash exchange does.0 -

I can order a Travelex Globe card on the internet and collect it at an airport 15 minutes away. I can also buy without ordering from the same airport. Would it make any difference which I choose?Abandoned0
