  • bought a tin today the one where you need a tin opener when we got home asked dd to put my money from my current jar and all the money from my purse in. Perhaps i should have been more specific as dd put ALL my money out of my purse in including my £5 note  so guessing about £15 went in lol oh well at least I can't spend it but also now means I've got no money for milk until Monday (no coffee) how will I survive lol

Well it certainly was a NSD. Managed the 6 mile walk up and down the South Downs, then slipped and twisted my ankle. Spent the next 5 hours in a & e while they x rayed. Home now with a very bad sprain and torn ligament.....but looking on the bright side, didn't go into town and spend any money!
Sittting with foot elevated, glass of wine, bowl of crisps and Strictly so not all bad !!

Oh dear Betsie what a way to end a lovely walk. Hope you feel better soon and the wine will give some excellent pain relief lol!

    Best wishes :)

Welcome to the challenge Caracara, Sue will be able to give you a membership number when she logs in :)

It doesn't matter if you pot is sealed or not, personally I find having a pot that is physically sealed a huge benefit but one with a stopper will do the job just the same ;)

£5 in the pot yesterday for me and today 25p from me and various coppers from my mum, who made it her mission to try and fill my pot with her change. There's still room for more in there but the extra change is much appreciated :D
    Thank you competition posters!
  • Welcome Caracara

£2 in the pot for me today.:j

  • Hey potters, am back from my hols, topped up the euro tin while I was there despite my best efforts to spend the small change instead of keep breaking bigger coins.

Back at work tomorrow so hoping I can get back in to the swing of things with collecting change from the floors and some nice easy to recognise sterling road kill!

caracara, I'm so pleased you decided to join us, you'll love it as everyone's great. Yes, some sellotape over/round the stopper would be just fine, anything that helps deter us from being tempted is vital.

Decluttering....I want a word with you! You gave caracara a really lovely welcome then it all went downhill with "It doesn't matter if your pot is sealed or not?????! :silenced: Oh yes it does!!! What's the name of our Challenge...huh???? I know you wouldn't dream of being tempted, but some folk just might be so sealing it's a great deterrent and adds to the excitement.
