    Can I join please?

I have a big bottle that's desperate for loose change and the money in my purse goes on vending machine snacks usually - when I haven't planned the day and brought fruit with me.

I only have £1.52 in my purse today but that can all go in the pot now. :)

    Welcome HollowTree
Sue will be along very soon to allocate you a number and to explain the rules, so consider yourself in our gang, enjoy the banter and enjoy saving in your very own sealed pot :D

    Hello all,

No pennies for my pot today but I need some advice from my fellow potters, DH went to the doctors today as his legs have been swelling up and his sleep is all over the place, i mean literally we will be talking and his eyes will roll back and he'll be gone! (I swear first time it happened I thought he had passed out!!)
Anyway, Dr has said that hes suffering with severe depression, and DH has now admited hes been hiding it from me for ages :(
So im talking to him about it as ive suffered myself and my mother had depression from the day my sister was born 35 years ago, so im well versed with it (so kicking myself I didnt see it )
My question is, im thinking of booking a holiday for the two of us, DS is off to his aunts for 2 weeks in the holidays and mum has very kindly offered to have DD for a week, am obv still tackling the debt, so do I crack all the tins open and book something?? or I could get out the trusty credit card and balance transfer it to a 0% which adds to the debt :( I reacon its going to cost £800 - £1000 for a week for the two of us! so what do we think??

    Hey everyone

Sorry I have been awol for a few days, not potted but the pennies are still in my purse and will empty before bed. I have bee On so busy at work and netball so very tired. Off now till sunday :j but still got things to do.I will catch myself coming backwards.

Bah and double bah to BE09 we save in whatever way we can and without this thread I wouldn't have saved as much of whatever the amount if I hadn't found my way here. I love the support and the banter and I quadruple echo all that have commented in answer to him/her.

It suits me fine and I know that I will continue come what may next year and the year after and the year after. Our club is bigger than theirs and a very happy club it is too my lovelies :D:D

Sue my sweet hope all goes well with the consultant hugs to you.
Sparky make sure you get as much rest as is humanly possible my lovely ;) but well done on working so hard to clear your debts.

Jakes-mum sorry to hear about DH, I know it must be hard. My darling sister suffers really bad with depression and is under the doctor but I am sure with all your support he will get there and dont beat yourself up for not noticing we dont always see whats right under our nose.Lots of support hugs coming your way too hun.

Welcome to Potters Paradise Hollow Tree..happy potting :p

Well now down to business..went to fat club monday and as per sig stayed the same which is better than a gain in anyones books. Going to have a sneaky weigh tomorrow..well not sneaky I am helping out and good job too been a dodgy couple of days so it will help put me back on track. On the plus side got paid Monday and Tuesday for helping out so £6.50 for Rosie there and hepling tomorrow. Also going to pot some change from buying a few bits think it will be somewhere in the region of £3 but not counting it just emptying the purse :p it includes 1p roadkill found on the forecourt of the garage on Monday night. ;)

Hey Cazzie and Blue-eyed-girl how the devil??? Next week is Zumba time hopefully netball all done, well except for training and a couple of friendlies but they wont interfer with the Zumba Zumba :D

Take care everyone and I will be along at some point later on. I need to go to bed. Sorry for the long post but hey. ;) xx

Hey jakes mum. A holiday for just the 2 of you sounds like a very good idea. However is this the cheapest one you can find?? I'm sure if you looked there would be cheaper ones somewhere. Have you ever thought about camping? (No I'm not keen either but DH and DD love it so I grit my teeth and complain all week ;) ) I've got some cheap camping tokens here somewhere I think I could pass on to you if you wanted.

Otherwise why not check travelo*ge website and see what offers they've got on. Some rooms are quite cheap and a week away is a week away after all. It'll give you both time to talk and work things out and just spend some time together.

Must take more time to read the posts instead of skimming them. I just wondered why the consultant was hugging Sue :rotfl:
