Afternoon everyone! A really lovely, sunny day here, all my washing drying beautifully. I'm hoping you're all well.

I know I am aiming for next years challenge but I have just had my first test. Scraped together 60p for a packet of crisps from vending machine and paced around and convinced myself it would be better in my money tin - whoo hoo - I have made a start :p Just had a glass of water instead to kill the craving / boredom lol.

LAM you are so right, and just imagine 60p saved on a daily?! It's amazing how many ways we can think of to save ourselves a small fortune. Even though it's next year you're looking towards - it's now that the saving starts..so you could say you're ahead of the rest of us!

Go on LAM and do your very best AND drop some pounds as well. Water is marvellous for losing weight and if you're having cravings then drink it as cold as you can - better still get yourself some Ice Pops/Poles to suck on; they last far longer and are so refreshing. BTW, are you ok with LAM or do you prefer LAM2011 or anything else?

Sorry to hear your news about being at a funeral, LC2, not too close to you I hope. Hugsaplenty either way. uU0jaHD0AkN4Fj0gaiQSwAhnU+b8kYzJqBYCTiar0judJajVPtMu3yb7M+zIHcKoNzxdJ+hgAHVGesKB5VmhsMLjH17ScZHJnipC4ASKL1Mlr8ond6vM8E5Jd+U5kPOmX5JVKRd1bTKIXalMKnmh2ZewH9QDX7nw8+kqOCwAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==

Hi there sparky! The little lad was my first thought too, but surely he couldn't have been NOT been unscathed. Still, I suppose he must have been ok or surely they wouldn't have sent the video round....or would they??! :(

I must have a shot at weighing my main pot. I always tell Mel I will..then forget! [Edit]Just weighed my main £1 pot and it's 4lb 10ozs, but that's including the Terramundi and I haven't a clue until the 1st December! Still, mine'll be nothing compared to yours, it never is, but by heck T & I are thrilled with all we get each year.

Best thing I ever did!! :j

All best wishes, e4rub, it will definitely give you great incentive.

You too Cherry! It sounds as though you really need to shift THAT one, and oh, will you ever feel sooo good when you have! :grinheart

Go for it girls and little by little you'll soon be setting yourselves free! :j:j

BTW Lost, no, no royalties....they don't mint the 1/2ps anymore :rotfl:

3p in the pot nabbed from DH as he came in the door, bless him though, he was going to give it to me anyway...like it or not!

OK folks, another reminder just 13 more days of POTTING left !!

lam is fine :D - in hindsight not sure why I chose capitals but then I always have caps lock on for my job - but it does seem a bit arrogant. :p

Sue usually starts it around the same time as we open the current pots so keep an eye out for the link on here.

Another few small ones in to the work pot after I collected my dirty uniforms from my locker whilst out and about this afternoon. Although I'll be reopening that one again when I get in to the bottle to make as many full bags of change as possible - I think anything I have potted is going to go towards a weekend in London with my mum and sister in early december since all my other cash is tied up in moving expenses at the moment.

Hi redbull5, I definitely WILL be doing another Challenge and we'd love to have you with us if you'd like to join. Just say the word and I'll sign you up. :D Have a read through the first post on Page 1 if you haven't already.

Thanks for that scuba, you of all people should know, especially after that temporary mess up I made last year that you helped me out of. Blessyou :A

ooh I don't know about that JD, but I love doing both. I'm so thrilled you've really put yourself into saving with us and I'm looking forward to seeing what you get. BTW..it's not the same container as you had those fag butts in...is it????? :rotfl: Good to see you back here JD. All the best with both!

Lam, arrogance never crossed my mind, I was only wondering if you wanted the 2012. We have many folk here with higher case names on, so no worry there. ;)

    Hellooooooo

Well have been round the agencies filling in forms for DH, he has a 3hr driving job for tomorrow, not alot but much better than nowt at all :D The nice leady at the second agency has not only the driving job she mentioned but another job that she described as 'a bit different'. Well it seems that half the job is pretty straight forward driving, the other half is driving round vets and picking up the dead bodies    as she said 'you need to be a certain kind of person to be able to do it' and DH was up for it  he used to collect the old residential wheelie bins from council yards across the country and clean them out by hand (there could be used nappies, old chicken carcasses etc in there that had been sat there for months) so said this would be a walk in the park
I am just amazed at the lengths my boy will go to just to work and provide for his family, he's truly wonderful :kisses3:
