I believe it was pulled as it was quite blatently an advertisement for said company...

Well i think that nicely highlights how much you know.

I'm sorry? My thread was removed because some people THOUGHT it was spam (which it quite obviously was not).

    How ridiculous and rude

How do you expect to get people interested in contributing to forums when this happens? I have photographic evidence of the visit from the LED company and all the bulbs being used around my house compared to what was there before?

What do you have to say about that?
Calm down dear. Its only a forum. The trouble is that this place being unmoderated gets stacks of spam advertising companies and products on a daily basis. Quite frequently these posts appear from owners employees of these companies pretending to be ordinary punters commenting in said product. More often than not they are new members with only 1 or 2 posts to their name. Advertising is not allowed. If your post looked like spam to lots of people they would have reported it as such. The trouble is that, in this case, you didn't have that intention but people reading it don't have a crystal ball to be able to visualise your intentions - they can only read what comes up on their PC screen.

As Nile's post indicates your thread may well get reinstated if you've been nice. Can understand your frustration if you spent a long time constructing it but sometimes you need to look through the other side of the lens.

So take a chill pill, have a coffee and relax for a bit.

Oh and welcome to the forum.

    Cheers

After a few posts, i think i'm done with this forum. I came on here with good intentions, posted what i thought was helpful comments directed at people who may have had similar frustrations when dealing with LED as i have had and explained the pro's and con's of what seems to be the best products currently out there. I also posted my comments on another forum where a healthy debate has started and i was able to show photos of my kitchen with halogens and LED's to show the differences.

It seems this is not the place to express these kind of things and i literally cannot be bothered with the hassle and rubbish that has come with me simply trying to help some other people who may have been looking at LED products for their home.

If it wasn't spam, then I would eat your tennis racket and if it wasn't then it was muppetry to go plugging Led bulbs at £550 for 20.. no matter how good the lamps thats top wack silly money, moneysavingexpert.com??? clue is in the name.

That said, your style and mock indignation bear the same signature as the other threads in the past by a particularly bullish LED company (and friends thereof). Thankfully we thought we had seen the last of.

Really this forum isn't the place for it.

If you take a calculator and work out the difference between twenty 50w halogens and twenty LED's over a period of 10 years (around half the suggested lifespan of an LED), would your calculations show that you have saved a significant amount of money despite the large initial investment? Mine do, hence the reason i have been looking at LED bulbs. I'd also have far more confidence in products that have been built using the best materials doing what they claim to.

As for the rest of your post, do try to get out more. When will you posting up evidence of you eating a tennis racket?

Wow- that company should employ you! That's some statement to make. I assume you have had these bulbs for years?

You think me saying that i'd be more confident buying a product (of any kind) that was made of the better materials would deliver more than products made of cheaper materials as 'some statement to make'? I think it's common sense and i would consider any product made of better materials to outperform cheaper rivals. Not sure what else to say.

I've had cheaper LED Bulbs for years which is why i am now looking at the more expensive end of the market, however, as my initial post said, i think the better quality products in the market are too expensive, which is why i haven't bought any.

Well everyone knows a low wattage LED lamp saves money over a high wattage halogen bulb , but you don't have to pay through the nose for them either is the point that your trying to deflect from.
