Hi back again, just a quickie tonight. I am waaaay beyond tired, going to get through the evening routines and try and have an earlyish night.

TBH I'm struggling without OH's PA this week, His mobility is getting worse and am finding the transfers increasingly difficult on my own. A couple of near falls. Next time PA on holiday will have to ensure we get termporary cover. Oh well we live and learn.

Had a smile at all the wasp stories. Hate the beasts.

Philsmum Forgot to mention that you can put your claim in for Carer's Allowance at the same time as your claim for OH's attendance allowance., saves any delays.

Good luck - I sorted that out for my mum & dad a couple of years ago and it's made a huge difference to their lives, allowing them to buy in the help they need, keep the house nice and warm in winter etc It was their GP who advised me about that.

It's really quite staggering just how complex the whole care/benefits system is, no wonder people don't know what's out there for them and so miss out. My parent's had no idea and they had struggled along for years without any help.

Anyway, I was very good and managed a walk today. Going to try and aim for 30minutes each day.

Also did 2kms on bike, 20 reps on weight, and just about to squeeze in 10mins yoga.
Treatments today - Eyebrow tidy, facelift face mask and a good slathering.

Feeling very Autumnal here tonight, rain off and on.

Haven't been into Derby centre but haven't heard anything about any riots here. Don't know what to say really, I remember there were riots in the 80's during that recession. It's a bad business.

Anyway hope you are all safe and sound.

    G'night all x

Very quick post 'cos I should be in bed!!

Had a lovely lunch out and ate and drank all sorts of things that weren't diet friendly;) so probably more bad news at fat club tomorrow:(

Haven't managed a walk today but I was well in 'credit' from weekend.

I did make up my eyes to go out today (not just practising in the bathroom). I felt very glam and pleased with myself.

Hope you didn't get too wet with the busking podperson and good luck with the performances.

    Sleep well all.

Massive pat on the back for Miss Tru and her friends :T :T :A
  • Good morning all! I managed to walk 5km on the treadmill and defuzz, dinner was two veggie burgers and peas, and I went to bed at 9.30pm. I feel half alive this morning :)

I can't wait to start pregnancy yoga, 6th September onwards in the evenings.

It's just started raining here, I'm glad I got into work before it started.

I was wondering this because on the web it says do it regularly but not every day??? I need it more black and white than that! I do it 3 or 4 times a week. Not sure if that's OK because I've only just started doing it about 4 weeks ago.

Looking very autumnal here. Was hoping to go for a run at lunchtime but it looks like it might chuck it down :(

    Morning all!

Well last night was an experience! It was just spitting when I left the house so thought it might not be so bad, but by the time got into the centre was completely chucking it down. So we were all in the middle of the centre in very stylish ikea rain ponchos and with the guitarist under 3 umbrellas while we sang our set. It was slightly surreal - don't think I've been so soaked in my life! Surprisingly though we did have a bit of crowd and most of them stayed for the whole set so we couldn't have been that bad. Afterwards we went to the pub for a well-deserved drink and there was a wedding party upstairs who asked us if we would sing a couple of songs in exchange for them buying some tickets - so we all squished into this tiny room looking like drowned rats! They were very enthusiastic but then it was getting quite late by then and some of them did rather look like they'd been on the beer all day :D

Ended up getting home about 11pm and just stripping off all my clothes into the bath tub lol. Everything was literally dripping! Hope poor OH isn't wanting a bath today as couldn't be bothered sorting them last night and was dashing this morning :o
Anyway, think we are well and truly warmed up for tonight so fingers crossed it all goes ok.

Am at work so won't reply to everyone but sounds like you are all doing fab with the exercise and beauty at the moment :T Hope everyone has a good day.

    Hi Everyone

PP - sounds like you had fun - if a trifle damp. Good luck with tonight.;)

Just a quickie - just nipped out to the post office and now need to get down to some serious housework/OH's lunch then start cooking plums - did a few yesterday - still got a small mountain to go. 16lbs is a lot of plums.:rotfl:

Re the OCM - I think it's a bit of trial and error really. Try say every other night - if too much then say every three days. I do about 2 a week, that's enough for me. Everyone is different I think.

Anyway off to peg out the washing.

Keep up the good work. Laters ..................

    Hello everyone,

Just back from my outing to sit and watch the world go by ;) Sitting out in the sun watching O/H munching into his brunch of croissants, I'm not :drool: ;) I am doing quite well so far this week as by Thursday/Friday I tend to flag a bit and let my guard down, then dread the weekend weigh in  I have not lost much weight over the last month and need to kick start again. However, I tried a top on that I bought last Sep and it fit! :j:j

Tru, how are the note pads coming along, may I ask what they are for?
Well done on your eating regime, keep up the good work and the 'official' exercises for your hip. My sister had problems with her hips, although different cause to you I used to wish I could take some of the pain for her. Have you negotiated your strike action yet :rotfl:;)

Pod, well done for enduring the elements last night, I hope tonight's weather will be better for you.

Bitsy, I do OCM once a week, maybe I'm not doing it often enough?

Phoenix, nice to see you again. Don't worry too much about the weight just try to eat healthy options. Maybe body scrubbing will help your skin and lots of slathering?
LL, sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment :( I hope the PA is only away for one week!! I'm surprised holidays are not covered automatically by SS?

....LL, good advice given to Philsmum. Always helps when someone can give constructed advice. Form filling can be a nightmare these days, I really feel for the people that have no one to help them :(

Sorry have to go, will try to get back later.
