    Good Afternoon Ladies,
How are you all on this lovely day?
Lovely positive posts of late, we seem to have pushed our lows to one side :j:j I blamed the weather :D;)

Mrs W, do you suffer with hay fever, sinus's? I find when the pollen count is high, I tend to get breathless/wheezy and have a dry niggly cough. I was told that when the sinus's 'drip' (back of throat) it will cause you to cough. My O/H tells me I have been coughing since I met him, maybe I am allergic to him :rotfl::rotfl:;) Anyway, pleased that your new office seems to suit you better, maybe less dustier?
Your new hair colour sounds lush, dark hair can look so glossy. I sometimes dream that I have grown my hair long again and it is dark brown:think: I also used to dream that I still smoked, that faded after about 10yrs!
Enjoy your musical evening and BBQ.

LL, I love the story of Aunty S's table, it must be the same one, too much of a coincidence. I would love to know where it was before you found it, it's home now :j
Did you manage to finish the frames?

Tru, what types of food do you eat, do you think it may be quantity or quality? I also find some urges hard to resist :shhh:( Ooer matron) I just get it out of my system and move on, as LL says 'draw a line under it' and begin afresh.
Your pampering list is very good, not sure how many more you could add, maybe some of the other ladies can help?
If your hair and facial treatments work then you must be doing some thing right :rotfl: If it ain't broke......
Good luck with selling the notebooks.

Lizzie, I was never brave enough use 'bold' colours on my hair (it was once pink and green, by accident) which I quite liked. The 'witch' build up I can identify with:eek: Not sure why that happens, even see it on actors/actresses on tv!
I hope all improves for you and yours soon.

I have to eat little and often, I never eat a 'proper' meal. I find some things easy, eg. 1 small wholemeal roll with a slice of ham and some salad. Fruit is easy too, 1 banana, 1 apple or a bowl of tinned fruit. It's meat and veg I struggle with (stop sniggering at the back!), for some reason I find difficult to make small portions of them. How silly is that? :D Maybe I should cook plenty of them, then divide into little portions and freeze. Homemade ready meals :D

  • Hello,

I signed up a while ago but didn't really say much, I am about to go out to a family do, I feel dreadful about how I look, my skin is a mess, I am fat and I need a haircut.

Sorry to be so negative! I promise I will come back tomorrow with a plan and some questions (esp oil cleansing)

best go get ready. really don't want to go!!

    see you tomorrow

    Buffy

Bitsy, I am having the same results with OCM breakouts, but have noticed the rest of my face looks great :j so as Mrs W mentioned need to persevere until my face is 'gunk' free then just fab smooth skin :D

I had they same problem when I became a veggie. It's a good idea to cook in bulk especially for those days when "I can't be a**ed" Buying what you like when it's on offer and doing this is very MSE ;)

Welcome Lolly, ditto to the admiration for you and your little ones :A:A
I look forward to reading about your progress :)

Welcome back Buffy, We have all have the t-shirt.
Go and enjoy yourself tonight, look forward to hearing about what you have been doing.

Poles, how are you, are you back in the work mode yet ;) It used to take me at least a week to get over a holiday :(

Maman, did you have a nice day hic! ;)
Don't worry about the pizza, sometimes we have to adapt for the sake of our loved ones, (this excludes you Mrs W ;)) remember me telling you about my sis who equates happiness with eating :( Unfortunately everyone's (including mine) hints and suggestions fell on deaf ears, and the result is her O/H has been diagnosed with serious health problems, some caused through being obese! The positive is,if BiL loses weight the Dr's can safely operate on him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this time he will not crash diet, have the op and then put it all back on, and some.

Gosh it has taken me hours to get these post done (other jobs in between)
I sorted out my bra's, wanted to see if any of my old/new ones fitted before I bought anymore, some did some still waiting for me to lose more weight uptop ;)
Which brings me to my weigh in, I have finally lost the 6lbs my Dr asked me to lose. It has taken me a month longer so needless to say I have not been near him, ho hum! I am hoping this good week has given me the kick start I needed to get me back on the road to Fabdom:)

Will have a foot file, body scrub and slathering before I go to bed.
Going to watch Ronnie Corbett now :D:D

    :hello:To everyone I have not mentioned, sorry:hello:

    Have a good evening.

Oooops Day 38 Edited that should read 48

    Hi Everyone

Just a quickie, feeling a wee bit tired so will try and get to bed soon.

Welcome back, Buffy. Don't worry - we all fall by the wayside sometimes. Don't worry you can fix it.

Hope you managed to enjoy this evening - tomorrow is a new day and a fresh new start.

Carmen - well done on the 6lb weight loss, your Dr will be pleased.:D The good thing is because it's been slow but steady you should find it stays off. You're absolutely right about crash diets, they are so counter productive. Hope your BIL gets on ok.

Tru - your pampering routines sound really good, and if you are happy with your wardrobe then it would seem everything is pretty much under congtrol.

How about adding some fun stuff such as dancing, either at home or join a class. Good fun, great exercise and good for the soul. Is there something you've always fancied trying but never got round to, maybe now is the time.

For me, my journey to fabdom, is not just about weight loss and improving my health and appearance, I also want to have some fun and rediscover my joire de vie.

    Anyway, must say G'night.

Sorry if I've not addressed you all personally - I'm enjoying all your posts though.

    Hey Everyone,

Just lost my entire post - not happy!

Thanks for the lovely welcome and kind words - I'm starting to feel at home already! :D

LL, that is a great idea!!! I don't know why I haven't thought of it before, as I used to volunteer in a CS and really enjoyed it! I will have to look into it.

Bitsy, I love that idea - DS2 loves water and is always in the bath (it cheers him up when he's grumpy, lol) so I will have to start using that time to get a bit of grooming done.

Well I woke up feeling really ill this morning, no idea why, so have hardly done anything today :( Spent most of the day just playing with the kids, and when DS2 went to bed me and DS1 dragged my big quilt and lots of pillows downstairs and laid around watching TV and pampering ourselves! :T He loves anything like that, and even has his own body cream (strawberry flavoured!). We've not done anything like that for soooo long, so it was a lovely evening. I managed to cleanse, tone, and moisturise my face - using face, eye, and lip creams! I used my Silky Mitt on my legs, Ped egged my feet, moisturised my whole body, and even removed the nail varnish from my toes (it has been there since we went on holiday last month ).
Feeling better for it already, but also feeling a bit miffed that I've been lazing around all day, and eating rubbish food (I'm on a diet). Will be extra good tomorrow, I promise ;)

There is so much more I want to say, but I'm feeling pretty tired now so am off to bed and will hopefully catch up with you all tomorrow...

    Good morning

Looks like it's going to be a nice day here so am hoping to get out into the garden. Our hedges need cutting and DS2 is off today so will try and make a start today.

I am really struggling at the moment - my emotions are all over the place. I know I don't have to make a decision right now but sooner rather than later I am going to have to decide about OH's future care.

My head tells me it's nearly time for him to go into permanent care but my heart doesn't want to go there. So difficult.

He will be going into respite next Saturday - the home I've chosen is the one that looks really good but is really expensive. Obviously we won't know until he stays there but my gut feel is that this home would be the best for him. However, I'm afraid that we couldn't possibly afford it ourselves.

It's a new home - not been opened that long. OH's care manager from SS knows it by reputation and is suitably impressed. He is looking at how we can fund it over the long term and has requested a continuing care assessment from the PCT to see if OH comes under their care or not. Apparently if OH is deemed to require nurisng care rather than merely personal care - then it's a whole new ball game.

Sorry to waffle but you can see how complicated it all is and why I struggle with it all. Anyone else have any experience with this?

Anyway the plan is to keep busy and try not to think too much.:rotfl:

It's enough to send me loopy - it's certainly not helping with the old "stress" attacks. I'm taking my meds as a precaution because I keep getting the old chest pounding at times.

    Anyway enough about me.

    Hi Lolly

Re losing your posts. This used to happen to me and it's happened to one or two othersd.

I think it has something to do with the length of time it takes you to write up. I think there must be some kind of time out function that kicks in - possibly at the MSE end. Anyway what myself and Carmen do is split the posts into segments.

I think Maman types hers in Word and then posts it. I've not worked out how to do that yet.

Hope you feel better soon, don't worry too much about one days worth of poor eating - the odd slip up doesn't hurt too much. The pampering session sounded good.

    Anyway off to get cracking.

    Have a good day.

    Hi :hello:

Maman -Hope you had a great day yesterday. :)

Tru- you seem really on it with the pampering routine- fantastic! Wish I was as together – always seems to be 1 step forward 2 steps back.

Lolly – welcome. You sound lovely, what a wonderful thing you did. Don't worry about yesterday -sounds like you all had a lovely day. I struggle with the eating -I know its down to my mood but as yet can't seem to control it so have given up on it for now, will concentrate on the pampering and exercise and come back to the eating later. I'm studying with the OU too.

Mrs W- I wake up early in the summer months too. Unless i'm so tired I can get b ack to sleep usually just get up now and get on with my day.

Buffy – Hope you had a good night.

LL- congrats on being told you're in good shape. Sorry you're feeling low about OH it must be really difficult for you. I'm sure it will all be ok in the end. :grouphug:

    Hi everyone else.:hello:

Re the exercise – have looked at the site recommended for getting rid of muffin top etc . This is the area where most of my excess weight is and no amount of exercise seems to affect it. Get very disheartened by this and thats when I start thinking whats the point. How long before I should see difference and which exercises are most effective. I thought the zumba would have an effect but so far no- will keep it up though cos I really enjoy it.

Have a good day everyone. x

OOps -did it in word and copied and pasted -I'll try to get it bit closer together next time!
