Me too - despite the builders moving out on Wednesday we still haven't fully reclaimed the bathroom, as all the tiles need to be sealed again which means 12 hours between application & getting wet.... our fault for choosing marble & slate I guess
I am paying attention though, and love reading about everybody's experiences0 -
hello all.
You'll be pleased to know I'm keeping up with the general taking an effort with my appearance
Still doing my situps, keeping my nails done, putting makeup on and perfume every day etc. Also have plans to go and do a face mask in a minute and de-fuzz my mustache. Don't have time for a big post but wanted to de-lurk and say I'm keeping up, honest!carpe diem

Hi Ladies and welcome Floosie,
Well, thankfully my weight stayed the same this weekif I had not had two really bad days I may have come off the plateau? Never mind upwards and onwards.
Lizzie, don't worry about having off days most of us do. I always saw off days as failure and would then need to get back my mojo for another attempt, which could take weeksSince joining this thread I have changed my outlook on food, if I eat something I know is 'bad' I just make allowance for it. I try to include the 'naughty' things I like but in moderation. A friend of mine loved chocolate so she used to freeze her mars bars so that she needed to shave the frozen bar to have some! Extreme maybe but it worked for her!
Remember, NEVER feel you have failed, it's just a blip for that day.
Sorry if I am always stating the obvious
LL, I hope you had a lovely 'suprise' party?
Did you all have a good weekend?

Hi Everyone
Had a lovely "surprise" party, queen for a day, spoilt rotten, loved it.
Had lots of naughty eats, starting with croissants for breakfast,, champagne, birthday cake, and all sorts of naughty goodies. Still it's not every day you celebrate your 60th birthday;).
It's only a blip Carmen - honest:rotfl:
DS2 just made me a cup of coffee, so going to put my feet up for half and hour and then collapse into bed.
Hope you've all had a good lovely weekend. Will catchup with you all tomorrow.
Going to spend some quiet time with my boys.
G'night all x0 -
I always feel like I don't have "time" to pamper which is a bit of an exaggeration, I do but it tends to be late in the evening when sitting in the bathroom separate from my hubby. So anyway I had a minor epiphany whilst giving the kids their bath why not combine it with a mini spa for me at the same time. So I exfoliated hands and feet with various scrubs, did a bit of OCM, moisturising and filed my nails. OK it wasn't a relaxing in a bathtub type of mini spa but I managed to shoe horn in some maintenance whilst the kids splashed around in the tub
So have made a mental note to do this every time the kids have a bath. Go me. Multitasking :rotfl::rotfl:

Glad you had a good day LL, you deserve to be pampered!
I haven't achieved that much today bit I did wear my 'new' small Jigsaw top and it is thanks to this thread that I've had motivation to stick with my weightloss and root around the CSs.
I also watched this.

It's a bit too full on for my needs at the moment but it did motivate me. Ths week I'll definitely buy some suitable oil to try that cleansing method and maybe sneak off to the bathroom to start practising ye make up for the autumn.:rotfl:0 -
Morning :hello:
The plasterer finished yesterday teatime. We damp-dusted everything and vacuumed - twice - but the dust is still settling.
I've been eating junk for the past two days. I tried to make proper food but if I put something down for more than five seconds, it had a thin layer of dust on itSo it's been pizza, toasties, etc. I'm feeling tired and sluggish now so I need to fill myself up with decent food, I'll feel normal again in a couple of days.
The dust also seems to have sucked all the moisture from my body, I feel like a dried up old dusty thing, lol. I've got the house to myself for the next couple of hours, so I'll have a shower and hairwash then use lots of body lotion and comb some leave-in conditioner through my hair.
My epilator has decided not pull hair out anymore, just snap hair off instead. Back to the razor then.
My feet will be filed and smothered in cream, my neck will be perfumed, and my toenails will have a fresh coat of colour.Bulletproof0 -
Hi all,

Need to remember to floss teeth as I've a dental appt next week- I know I know I should do it every day but I never seem to find the time.

had an awful weekend - insomnia which meant I was exhausted all day & when I wasn't sleeping I was eating.... can you get jetlag on 2 hours difference.
Anyway so far today - found slug on the "office" floor yuk, computer wouldn't turn on for me but would for OH - last PC to do this committed suicide shortly afterwards so looking for a new one (yay).
On the plus side - was dressed before noon (my daily target) and have spent 3 hours comping, oh the joys of being unemployed....
Still haven't zumba'd keep meaning to but suffer from terminal laziness - can I have a virtual kickup the bum please folks?
I know this all seems really negative but I have had a dance to the radio whilst making tea & have psyched myself up to do some housework this afternoon (pet hate) & that counts as excercise doesn't it?
DD has scan on weds so will have a better idea of due date - query over the enormous bump for 12 weeks (could just be that she's so thin that she is showing earlier).
Hope you are all doing better than me but I'm determined to keep it up & WILL be fab by Christmasproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0 -
