I'm supposed to be asleep molly but just had to comment. What a lovely post. I'm so pleased 'our' thread is winning approval. I think it's doing us all a power of good and I'm delighted that you're getting compliments on your appearance. We all love those, as that tiny sparkles was saying earlier;).

    'night all.

Mrs W that's terrible - I'm thinking of you and poor kitten. I second whoever mentioned taking her to the vet, cats don't show pain the way other animals do plus they're far more delicate and easy to hurt than say dogs.

What a horrible thing to happen, Mrs W :( Thinking of you & hope poor kitty is ok ~ I agree a check-up at the Vet's is a good idea.

Hope everyone else is doing ok ~ sounds like some serious fabbing is going on :D

I'm feeling a bit under the weather (totm) but still sticking to the healthy eating regime & I'll be off out for a walk later. Haven't done the aspirin facemask yet as DD was off school poorly yesterday so hopefully do that today.

    See you later.

    Molly that's great news :D

    MrsW hope you're OK xx

Feel tireder than a tired thing today. Not a good night sleep, thanks to killer cat bringing in yet another mouse to eat upstairs  second night on the trot. DD woke and ended up in our bed. I have bags under my eyes, which feel really sore. Doesn't help being so dull here, must remember to take my Vit D tablet, have forgotten to do it for a week or more.

    Morning all,

Maman - am loving the spending spree - some great stuff there :) Am having to restrain this month, finances are a little stretched - still waiting on OHs student money from September (useless company!) and have done nothing for xmas yet. OH said the other day his gran had told him she was giving us money for xmas and I was a little tempted to say 'can I have it now' so I can go shopping. Really need a decent winter coat and there's loads for £20 in Tesco this week.

Molly - think that's lovely we have counsellor approval :) I agree it's really improving my self-esteem and just having some support while doing it is invaluable.

Pink poppy - hope you feel better soon x

Mrs W - hope you managed to sleep and kitten is better today.

Went to choir last night after missing 2 weeks - am finding it much harder to make myself go out at night now it's dark and miserable weather. Anyway was glad I went, though the vocal chords were feeling it by the end of the night. Not much fabbing - was dashing in and out and then a bit knackered when I got home. Must do some exercise tonight!
  • Good Morning Ladies,

A massive Thank-You to all of you for all your lovely supportive messages they really do help.

Little Ninou went to the vets yesterday and thankfully they don't think that there is anything broken, but she is bruised and sore so have got pain meds for her and spent yesterday giving her lots of cuddles and getting her to play again- don't mean to sound soppy but that is what has upset me the most- she is normally a very playful girl with a massive tractor purr- seeing her bolt and try to hide under the coats every time the door opens breaks my heart! hopefully she will be back to normal in time jumping to greet people and not so clingy- I adore her following me around but it's not normal for her :(

They didn't get away with as much as they could have I suppose- but what they did get was worth a lot- laptop, PS3 etc those things we can replace the one thing that has upset me is a ring that was made for our wedding, it's a really unusual design and unusual stones used a real one-off I'm trying to remember that there are worse things we could have lost and at least we weren't home/hurt. yes it's worth a bit of money- if the !!!!ers even realise it's a real stone ( Citrine and diamond 24ct gold) and real gold- but it's the fact that it is something that was especially made for us...ah well like I said at least we are not hurt at the end of the day that is what is really irreplaceable.

on the positive side- crime scene guys managed to get quite a lot of good fingerprints in places that it's likely to be whoever broke in so there is some hope also got a call to say that someone had tried to sell a laptop v similar to mine at a cash convertors- police are looking into it.

SPoke to most of the jewllers in the area re the ring and they all promised to look out for it and let their collegues/any other jewllers they knew about it- as it's so unusual there may be a good chance to finding it when they try to sell/get rid of it. Police also advised me to keep an eye on e-bay if it comes up I will alert them and they will buy it and arrest the seller when they go to pick it up....

IN the meantime MrWoolfe is installing an alarm system today and ordering a CCTV system which he will set up (he does a lot of work with street cameras and sets up complex systems through work) new fence will be put up by the end of the month- police also suggested a high trellis on top of the fence as a deterrent- as it's so flimsy if someone tries to climb, it will break and they will either be injured (serves them right!) or it will make enough noise to alert someone/deter them.

One lesson I've learnt is to have a list of serial numbers for electrical goods and in future always have a photo of important jewellery...the one picture I can find is unclear because the flash has relflected off the ring....

my silver lining? some people are a pathetic excuse for humanity....but when they F*** your life up, there are an amazing amount of people who are so quick to offer support, empathy and generally help you I have been overwhelmed by how many lovely people there are out there.

Don't get me wrong- I AM upset and angry, scared they might come back, scared in case we are home this time, !!!!ed that we work and save so hard for the things we have and some A*r*w*p* just came and took them- I want to inflict damage on the F***er who can come into my home and hurt my kitten and I am beyond furious that my lovely little first home which we have been so overjoyed with- such a big deal sacing for so long and finally having something that is our own- has been damaged, that my happiness at being here has been tarnished....but

My Wealth is not the possessions I have my Wealth is the amazing people in my life (and that includes my fab ladies here) my friends, my family and all of the people I love and who love me back, and that's something no one can steal from me.

So pleased you're feeling stronger. Thanks for the tips about trellis etc. Very useful to all of us I'm sure.

I'm supposed to be on here paying a few bills but I sneaked over to see how you were.:o

Mrs W...what an amazing post and a wonderfully positive attitude. I'm so glad your wee kitten is OK and that you and Mr W are fortifying your home against future intrusion...though it's just SO aweful that you have to do so. So sorry to hear about your ring, but fingers crossed that those f@*%"ers make a blunder and get captured and that your ring finds its way back to you!!

Mamam just LOVE your "NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM"!!!

MrsW - I'm so glad your kitty is ok, but so sorry you had to go through that violation to your home. I just don't understand how some people can take what doesn't belong to them, they are truly the lowest of the low. Let's hope they slip up and get caught soon as they were careless enough to leave fingerprints.

Sparkles - Well done on completing your run. Did you use a book/program to get started with running and if so can you tell me which one please? I did start running last year, but had to give up due to injury after 5 months and haven't run since January this year. It was fabulous for weight loss, but I have now put a stone back on and would like to start again with a new plan.

Bitsy - Have you taken your vit d tablet? Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.

Molly - That's fab that we are part of a therapy group. I do feel like I push myself a bit more to wear something different or do some exercise because I feel accountable to this thread and everyone on it now! :)

Maman - Some lovely purchases there, sounds like you enjoyed your shopping trip

All exercise has gone out of the window here as it's my time of the month (sorry to hear you are suffering as well pink poppy.) I just feel completely wiped out and will for about three days (have always suffered with it, but now get medication from the doctor that makes it not quite as bad as it used to be!) It just amazes me how I can go from feeling normal to feeling so weak and listless within a day! I have an appointment this afternoon and then will be concentrating on studying, watching films and reading until I am feeling better.

Lovely positive post from Mrs W. I am a firm believer in letting off steam when things like this happen. I can never understand when people say they will forgive the person who has done them wrong.

Good tip about the trellis too. I never thought of it like that.

I have tried to keep up as best I can with everybody unfortunately I am useless at remembering what everyone has contributed with but like to add that I find this good therapy too and I really enjoy reading about how everyone is getting along.

Having a very tough time at the moment as my OH and I broke up last week :(. To say I am devastated is an understatement. Work is helping but I am having to rush off to the loo every so often and have a good old grizzle. One minute I feel fine the next I am so low. We didn't live together but he did loads for us (my DD and I) he really did seem too good to be true and although I haven't actually done anything wrong and am an amazing person (his words, not bigging myself up :D) he just doesn't love me and needed to get out now rather than a few months down the line. I feel sad because I was just so comfortable with him and we had so much in common, were always having a laugh, the s*x was great etc etc it really has come as a bolt from the blue. Sorry if that turned into a long old waffle, I really didn't mean it to.

On the plus side, this broken heart diet is a marvellous one and although I don't feel fab I am certainly looking it (if you can just see past the bloodshot eyes and tearstained face.......:rotfl:).

And my house is really clean and tidy ;)
