    Hello and welcome Callista,
Any holiday should be a good holiday, no matter where you go! Have a good time.

I finally saw the Dr about my varicose vein/s! Since losing all this weight I noticed a large vein (inner knee to upper thigh) had suddenly appeared, sure it must have always been there, I have just never noticed it:eek:
Well the doc has agreed it need attention along with some other small ones. He has agreed to strip them at the end of November, because I need to be in long trousers to cover up the sexy pressure socks I will need to were after the op ;)
I have been maintaining my beautifying, nails filed and buffed, eye brows tidied, OCMed today.

Last week my sister came to stay, I managed to give her a facial which I think she enjoyed.
I have been picking walnuts this week, they are quite small this year as it has been so dry! Fresh apples picked at the local PYO.
Willow if you like fruit and have a PYO near you, the taste is so much better that shop bought, and cheaper.

Ok I have waffled on enough for now.

:hello::hello: Bratz,Pod,Bitsy,Floss,Jelly, Lolly, Maman, Sparkles, Molly, Poles, Phoenix and anyone I may have forgotten :hello::hello:

    Upwards and onwards ladies

I did write a reply to everyone but I lost it! Grr.

He won't do meal plans! Very annoying when I try this with him and he throws a hissy fit coz he doesn't want stew on Wednesdays or something.

My budget gets taken up when he goes overbudget coz he can't afford to go over £25 on Asda. Like I said, my bananas had to go the other day.

I'm probably not in the right frame of mind for weight loss coz I just can't get motivated! When I weigh myself I get so upset but I tell my OH and he's like "you're fine as you are". I know I'm not though! I think I'm 6 stone over a healthy weight now :'( So I start trying to eat healthy then it's always the same after a week of seeing crisps and chocolate and I give in coz they're just right there in front of me. He knows I have no willpower whatsoever.

Sorry for whinging and ranting so much and being so negative.

Whinge and rant all you like willow, we really don't mind.:)

We have a meal plan but I don't tell my DH about it.;) I just serve up whatever I've planned and he eats it! I always work it so I have 7 dinners planned and I do them in whatever order fits in with me. So if I'm busy we have something from the freezer, if I have more time then it's a meal that going to take hours to cook, if I have fresh stuff to use up then I fit that in etc etc. For breakfasts and lunches, I just buy in enough ingredients and we have whatever we fancy on the day and when it gets towards the end of the week it's Hobson's choice!

I know you're a stickler for good grammar and spelling willow, so I though you'd like this: we had a card put through our door the other day from a lady who does cleaning. She said she does 'hoovering, moping and dusting'. We just loved that. My DH is the housework fanatic in our home but I won't put up with too much moping!:rotfl:

    'night all.

Oh dear Willow - you sound in such a tizz.

First, I really don't think you are ready to go on any kind of diet or weight loss programme. You sound just too stressed right now. I suggest you take a few days and take a step back to give yourself time to think how best to proceed.

Then - just make a plan - and stick to it. No ifs, no buts. S*d the OH - 6 stones is a lot of weight to lose. You need to do this, not just for vanity but for your health's sake. Your OH needs to bear that in mind and get his head round it too.

Sorry to be so blunt here but surely he must know and understand the risks posed - diabetes, heart disease, strokes - if he truly loves you ...

What about your family, other friends, workmates etc I'm sure they will support and encourage you.

I am so shocked that - given the amount of weight you're talking about that he can be so blind and foolish. And, although I hate to say this and come over all judgemental, but I really do think he is being incredibly self centred here. We're not just talking a couple of stones here. His silly foibles, excuses, likes and dislikes are just not funny, he needs to get a grip.

Sweetheart - you have to take control of the situation. It's your body, your health, your life - he has absolutely no right whatsoever to dictate what you should eat and condemn you to a life of ill health.

    It's down to you now.

I'm worried about my health and also his health. I'll take a few days to think about what to do about my diet etc.

Another thing that's getting me down right now is the fact I'm unemployed. It's hard to find a job when I don't have a lot of experience :(

Oh poor you, I didn't realise you were unemployed. Is your OH also unemployed too.

It is so tough out there. May I make a suggestion - how about a bit of voluntary work - it will get you out of the flat and help take your mind off things.

I'm sorry if that sounds a bit patronising but I really enjoy helping out in the Scope charity shop now and then. We have a good laugh and I've made some nice new friends.

    Take care of yourself hun.

I'm off to bed now - after I've made DS2's lunch, loaded the washing machine and dishwasher etc.

    G'night all x

Tru, I had a lovely break in Mevagissy with some girlfriends, we stayed in the pink house up on the left as you approach the harbour from the left.Is the lovely pasty shop still there? nom nom:drool::drool:

I know exactly where you mean, we almost rented the yellow place next door :D How long ago did you visit? The pasty shop was called Granny Pasties, it's still there but it's Pasty Presto now (the bloke who owns the chippy opposite bought it). The pasties are just as fab though, and you'll be pleased to know that they still do chocolate and banana :D There are still a pair of swans living in the harbour too :)

The pain in my hip and leg is GONE :j The muscles are very stiff though. I can now exercise properly - well I think I can, I'm starting today :D I've been getting really angry about it lately - even though I've been careful (mostly), my size has hovered between 14-16 (no idea what I weigh ATM). My muscles respond immediately to exercise, so my shape will change noticeably straight away. Not long ago I could put my leg behind my head, do you know just how frustrating it is to sit down and only be able to lift your leg high enough so your ankle is resting on the oppostite knee?? :rotfl:

I have to get my cards etc. ready and organised, they're going into the shop on thursday :j So I'll spend the morning doing that. The afternoon will be spent planning (food, exercise, business) then I'll do half an hour of yoga.

My new life starts here :)

Willow have a hug, stress does tend to lead to the biscuit tin if you dont find another way of dealing with it. And I have to say your OH does sound threatened by your WL plans. Does he think when you get slim you will run off with another man? Sounds silly but some partners (male and female) will become "feeders" to keep their partner IYSWIM. Sending positive vibes that you find a job xxx

Tru I've never been able to get my leg around the back of my neck :eek: I've always wanted to be able to do the splits and couldn't, even when I was younger and was doing ballet I couldn't. Hmmmm is now the time to start prepping to try ;)

Did the aspirin face mask last night, mini breakout occurring but then again the boobs were painful last week so maybe the cycle again this month :(

Anyway I am feeling pretty good actually, bit tired today but mentally feeling positive about myself :T let's make this permanent shall we :rotfl:

    Hello x

Sorry not to have posted much this past week. Im in the process of making my way through all of your posts and want to send hugs to all those who need them x

Im afraid Im in need of a hug today as my funding for my operation had been declined again. TBH Im gutted :eek::eek: The last three years have consisted of fight after fight and Im totally weary. I will summon the energy but maybe not today though. Lesson Learned - I know you understand and in some small way I understand the fight you have had on behalf of your husband.

Fabness wise - well I am still trying to dress nicely and my family are noticing the difference. My skin is looking much better and like Bitsy I am practicing my Mindful eating. I practice mindfulness in many areas of my life and find it very useful when i am feeling anxious - like today. A beautiful coloured leaf just fell in front of me and made me feel very lucky to be able to appreciate it xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
