Supposed to be having an early night.

But first I just wanted to tell you about my fab chazza shop bargains.

A lovely champagne coloured full length Jacques Verte wool/cashmere coat with a lovely fur (fake of course;) collar - for a fantastic £3-50 - for roughly the price of a Starbucks coffee. It's so glamourous. That's two coats in the last week.:o

I also picked up a piece of 1960's studio made glassware - very psychedelic and quite unusual - a real collector's piece £5. I know - I'm not supposed go be buying bric a brac at the moment - but this ones a keeper -not for sale - just too good to pass:D

I will have to get DS2 to show me how to upload photos one of these days.

After years of never being able to buy anything nice to fit me it's a real joy to be able to buy pretty things that fit.

    G'night all x

    Hi Ladies and Lurkers,

Molly, sending you positive vibes, can you appeal? There are some dreadful/worrying decisions being made about peoples health issues, at the moment!

Tru, we first stayed in Meva about 9yrs ago then again several times after, with a friend who moved there prompted by our initial visit.
Pleased to hear your exercises are giving you some relief :D. Good luck with the sale of your cards :j

LL, will let you know how the VV op transpires, I'm just glad I finally took action!

Willow I tried SW about ten years ago, I managed to lose 3 stone! As a vegetarian it suited me to keep to the green days, not sure if they have the red and green days now? (sorry, I know someone tell did tell me the answer to this!) I does help to chat face to face with people with same problems and you can pick up some great tips.
How are you with exercise? For me it is like Marmite  :rotfl::rotfl:

Today has been a good day for me, I'm back on the wagon to fabdom. My energy level raises as soon as I start to eat sensibly, so I shall continue with my decluttering, yes I know I have been doing this for months now:rotfl::rotfl:
I am hoping to reduce by another dress size by December 13th (first Christmas dinner) Like Mrs W I have become stale in my regime, I am pleased with my weight lose so far but I am forgetting I still have another 2/3 stone to lose!! Thank goodness FTF will be on going ;)

    Goodnight everyone
    Carmen xx

Exercise is like sprouts to me then :p I love marmite :rotfl:

Gosh, what a difference a day makes! I slept well for the first time in a week, up earlyish and raring to go:j
Showered, body scrubbed and slathered. I'm need to address my finger tips and nails today, they are getting very grimey from the walnut shucks (sp) Did someone mention lemon juice for mucky fingers?

LL, well done for your CS finds :j Reminds me of a lovely jacket (Elvi) I bought about ten years ago, I must ask O/H to have a look for it in the loft, I'm sure it will now fit me again :D

Misty morning here, sunshine has been forecast for later:j

    Happy Tuesday to you all.

Willow, do you like to dance? Some of the ladies here do Zumba but just jigging around to music gets the heart pumping, although work up to it slowly gasp!

    I hate marmite:p;)

    hello all :)
I haven't posted much the last few days but I have been lurking.

Molly - so sorry to hear your funding wasn't granted, I hope there's something you can do to 'appeal' it.

Willow - if you like dancing, or exercising to DVDs I've a few in the house I don't use much any more, PM me and I'll post them over to you.

I've been a bit bad eating wise over the weekend but I'm usually good during the week so I don't think it's too bad :) I have been trying to wear dresses more since I feel better in them, but a few I ordered from eBay didn't turn out as I'd hoped.
One was meant to be a 14 - no way! It doesn't even fit my fiance's wee sister who's an 8! So I've raised a dispute about returning for a refund.
Another is ok but a bit clingy round the middle, so toning up and losing a lb or 2 should help. And the other had weird sleeves that looked different in the photo and made me look like an American football player so I cut them off but now I'm not sure if I like it sleeveless!

I do have a Next account though so I might order a few there then return if I don't like them. I really want to get my wardrobe sorted so I feel better about myself and help on the journey to fabness - jeans and t shirt make me feel frumpy and fat. Doesn't help that I can't get jeans to fit mind you!!

You ladies will laugh but I LOVE dancing but as it is National Chocolate Week I rather over indulged in a large bar lurking in the cupboard :o I was feeling rather sick for quite a while but couldn't face going on the rebounder so I decided to have a boogie in my kitchen. Just me and my Ipod jigging about and do you know what I had such a ball :rotfl::rotfl:
My current fave at the moment to get you started Willow ;)

    Hi ladies.
i know this thread is already well established, but do you mind if i join in please?
I quit smoking last year and since then have gained a stone, so i need to lose it!
I suffer with depression and find it hard to motivate myself to dress nicely/straighten hair/apply make up, but i really would like to as i think it would improve my self confidence.
I am forever saying "i'll bother with my appearance once i have lost a stone"...but i have decided there is no reasn i cant make the most of myself before i lose weight!

    hi,

hugs to all that need them.

Willow- understand how you feel my partner also insists in buying choc and sweet stuff knowing its my downfall but that i'm trying to avoid it, and yes if i'm down i do give in to temptation. I also do zumba and can recommend it - its fun, all shapes ages and sizes go to my class and no one takes it too seriously.

Callisto- wouldn't worry too much about what others are doing in OU course. As long as you are more or less up to date with planner - if you get too far in front you aren't at the relevant point for tutorials. I found a week in front is the most you need to be to account for hols etc. Good luck with it.

    :hello: to everyone else.

More bad news - a friend lost his fight with cancer at the weekend.
Its been aterrible year in terms of losing people- am just hoping that things will be better from here.

I now have an appointment for counselling in a couple of weeks.
Am sticking to the small changes to my eating. Think I might get a smaller plate to help with portion size, have thought this before but nver did it. Am still zumba ing but have started to get muscle pain so maybe a trip to doc is called for. never had this before even though was doing wii challenge including resistance training so do worry about it abit -even lifting my arm a certain way hurts.

Anyway off to walk in the rain :) see you all later.

    Morning all,

Have been busy the last few days and wow what a lot to catch up on!

Lizzie - am so sorry for your loss *hugs* sounds like it's been a tough year, am glad you're going for the counselling, hope it helps x Totally agree about the small changes, I do think they can make more difference over time then going mad on massive changes and not being to keep things up.

Cleggie - welcome! I was exactly the same, would be forver saying, that's lovely, I might buy it when I lose some weight - now I'm trying to buy things that are lovely at my current weight - doesn't mean I've stopped trying to lose but I think it actually helps with the weight loss to feel a bit more positive and confidence because you don't think you look too bad with what you're wearing :)

LL - loving the charity shop finds - I think your charity shops are definately cheaper then mine! I'm lucky to find a top for £3.50 these days never mind a decent brand coat lol. I guess the joys of living in a city.

Callisto - welcome, I wouldn't too much about the OU forums. I've done it for a few years now and while there's always a few who seem miles ahead there tends to be a lot more online panicking at the last minute - usually me included :rotfl:Everyone works at their own pace.

Molly - I'm so sorry your funding was refused - it's awful that some penpushers somewhere have the right to make life-changing decisions with no concept of how it's affecting real people's lives. I hope you can get an appeal in x

Willow - hun, I'm sorry you're feeling a little demotivated - and sounds like your OH needs a good kick to be a bit more supportive! I know my OH can be extremely annoying with constant snacking and junk food but if he tried waving it in my face he'd hear about it :rotfl:

To everyone else  and *hugs* if needed.

Anyway have had an extremely unhealthy weekend but was my birthday so have decided am not going to feel guilty about it :) Had a lovely weekend but very boozey and lots of junk food and takeaways - can actually feel my body protesting about it so definately going to be healthy for the rest of the week. I think that's actually a good sign as it means I have been eating more healthily and my body actually recognises the difference now :rotfl:Got some money off family members so went shopping yesterday - also a change as normally I feel a bit guilty about spending on myself and it ends up drifting into the 'bills pot' but was quite looking forward to it! OH was laughing at me as I was out for a few hours, came home with bags full and had spent about £20 - I do love the bargins. Got a lovely skirt and a cardi from the charity shops - the cardi is really nice, looks a bit like a suit jacket but has scalloped edges and is in a grey flecked wool. Good for work as I can wear it over a light top instead of having to stick to the jumpers now we're getting into the nippier weather. Could really do with a decent pair of boots for winter but I tend to be rather fussy with shoes - will start looking round.

Hope everyone has a good day x
