I only usually manage a day or so but I am determined to do it 3 times a week and make some use out of it!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550

Good Evening Everyone
Been really busy today, blitzed the downstairs, decluttered and reorganised my bookcases - washing down the shelves etc. - even made a banana cake, so feel quite smug and virtuous.
Except been very naughty food wise - lots of carbs, no exercise, no "fab" treatments. Never mind, back to it tomorrow.
BTW - Apparently we are in for something of an "Indian Summer" next week with lots of lovely warm sunshine. So ....I'm going to make the most of it, pottering about in the garden etc. whilst it lasts.
Fedup (or would you prefer "Sparkles") well done on the weight loss.
Lizzie - hope you are feeling a bit brighter today.
I like Helena Powells books too.
Went to the library yesterday - now have my magazine fix for this week - Homes & Gardens and BBC Homes & Antiques - free of course - so very MSE.
Anyway hope you all have a lovely weekend - catching up on sleep - healthy eating, fresh air, some exercise and a bit of TLC and pampering.
Keep up the good work:)
G'night all x.0 -

Ok Sparkles it is:) Sounds far more Fab than fedupandskint anyway. Good psychology. Positive and optimistic - that's the way to go.
Good morning, ladies and lurkers.
I've been languishing for the past couple of days - down there in the doldrums - however, no more feeling sorry for myself - onwards & upwards as our beloved Carmen would say. Twinnie where are you - are you ok. Is it busy, busy, busy.
Anyway as you know it was the Autumn Equinox the other day - the day when we have the exact number hours of daylight as we do darkness. From now on, the days shorten, and we get less daylight - hence the capacity for less sun.
(Luckily we've got some nice weather planned for next week).
I know many people suffer from SAD - my mum suffers quite noticeably. So far I'm ok - however, I do try to get out into the daylight whenever possible. "They" recommend that we should get at least 20 minutes each day.
So for me I'm going to try and fit in a short walk each day, A multi-vitamin won't hurt, also a calcium and Vit D supplement.
As winter draws on it pays us to eat as healthily as possible too - I've got a nice casserole in the slow cooker for tonight, packed with vegetables so on my way to my 5 a day. I'm determined to up my fruit and veg this winter.
The other thing about the Autumn Equinox is that it is our half way point.
Time for the mirror test.
Are we still bright and shiny, nice hair, clear glowing skin, groomed to perfection. How about our posture, nice and tall.
Or like me, have we slipped a little. I'm afraid that over the last few days I've not been practising what I preach so it's shoulder to the wheel time again.
Yesterday I blitzed the downstairs. Today will make a start upstairs - not going to manage the whole lot in a day - yes it's that bad.
Now I know this might sound a bit strange but when the house is a tip it really drags me down. Mess and clutter seem to really drain my energy. Now that the downstairs is neat and tidy again I feel so much better. Quite re-energised. All this good Feng Shui .
BTW - my sister bought me a new purse - green - for my birthday - not used it yet. Apparently a green purse is very good Feng Shui, supposed to bring prosperity. Will start using it today - will let you know if I start to get richer.:rotfl:
Anyway off for a soak in the bath, facelift face pack, and good slathering.
Have a fab day - let's get cracking to become Christmas Crackers.0 -

I completely agree with you!!
I can't even think straight when my house is a mess, which it seems to be most of the time!
So I'm going to try and get the house sorted today and then hopefully I'll be able to relax and have a nice pamper session with DD tomorrow.

Good morning everyone - Sparkles here, positivity abounding away!
Well today I have swopped some summer clothes into storage and winter clothes into the cupboard and left a few things in case the indian summer really does arrive next week. During the swop I chucked out 2 tops that are very unflattering, found a tunic top I had forgotton about I will wear again.
Anyway the clothes sort out made me think about a few things I need
A nice smart pair of black trousers
A nice pair of dark charcoal grey trousers
An extremely well fitting pair of jeans to replace the 2 pairs that are far too big now
A nice winter skirt to wear with boots and maybe 2
2 pairs of work trousers and a work skirt
Apart from that I think I have almost enough to sparkle away at the weekend, plenty of coats, pairs of boots, lovely bag from last year, jumpers and scarves plus my trusty pair of gloves
Apart from that I am tidying up too then off out for a long walk with my dog for us both to get some fresh air and exercise.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
I have a new pillow for my bed
surely this could be counted as doing something fabwise? I can now get more beauty sleep with a pillow so comfy that it feels like sleeping on a fluffy cloud ^-^

Morning :hello:
I need to do a thread and pampering catch-up
We left the house early on friday morning, we've already visited a little bit of Devon and half of the south Cornwall coastWe come down here a lot so knew exactly where we wanted to visit. We've packed so much in already - from mariner's museums to a music festival (stumbled across that accidentally, it would've been rude not to stay, lol). I sat down last night and couldn't get back up again :rotfl: My feet have taken a hammering, my legs are in desperate need of a shave and the sea air has made my hair very greasy.
I've been good though. We had a full english breakfast at the B&B, but you could choose how you wanted it cooked. I choose poached egg instead of fried, toast instead of fried bread, etc. We're self-catering for the rest of our stay, we packed loads of fruit and brought our own chicken's eggs with us. We shopped yesterday and bought veg, salad, ham, cheese and granary bread. Though I will admit to also buying a pizza and a bag of oven chips
When I was packing, mr tru asked if I really needed all that stuff. I've brought absolutely everything with me, lol. Just as well, I really need it today.
I'm aching all over, I cant't remember the last time I moved this much in such a short space of time. When I've finished my coffee, I'm going to stretch all my muscles (could do with a rack actually, ha ha) and have a shower, where I'll sort out my hair, legs and feet.Bulletproof0 -
Enjoy your holiday Tru!
Am off on my spa day today, can't wait!0
