    LL, you are a star!

Even though you might not feel it, you are!

And an inspiration; because like all of us you're human, but you do have far more than your fair share of stuff to deal with at the moment. You show your vulnerability, but you always look at the positive too and are ready to pick yourself up, dust yourself down and away you go again.

A shining star and guiding light, I reckon :T

Well said Bronnie, I concur :)

Bottom line is LL this is some seriously emotional stuff you're dealing with. If the only way to get through it is carbs and chocolate then do that, just remember you could have picked alcohol or drugs as your other methods of coping. Sending you lots of hugs xxxxx

    Morning all,

Nali - welcome, am loving the 'balanced diet' :D Nothing wrong with a little bit of chocolate - I tend to find if I tell myself I can't have any I suddenly end up craving it, even tho I didn't even want any before :o I quite like the little Freddo bars, quite nice chocolate but like mini bars so I get my fix without going too overboard.

Lolly - yes the calculator is just an online one, I'll send you the link if you're wanting to try it. I think there's quite a few different ones and even automatchers which find bets for you - but I find they can be a little hit and miss. This is actually reminding me that I've done nothing on it this week, must go do some sign-ups!

Carmen - yay on the weight loss :j I'm having a similar problem with pants at the moment but am fairly useless at sewing so am being lazy and buying cheap ones from Asda :o

Tru - glad Mr Tru and nephew are both doing well. Will have to have a look at that video, I'm hopeless in heels and really wish I could walk in them properly (at 5ft2 I need those inches!). I end up with really bad pains in the balls of my feet and am usually hobbling by the end of the night :( I seem to have got worse as well as I used to be able to wear smallish ones or boots but now I struggle with those as well.

Maman - yay on ordering the dress, hope it's as nice as the piccies when it gets there!

Bitsy - I agree with the having the chocolate if you want it, as i said above if I feel like I can't have something I automatically want it 10 times more! Maybe try mini bars so you get that chocolate fix - someone I know used to put them in the freezer as well then they lasted ages :)

Willow - welcome! Regarding the dress, I don't know what kind of styles you like but I'm really liking the vintage style floaty dresses at the moment - would be nice with coloured opaque tights which would flatter your legs. I also love the 50s style pinup dresses - they give a fab hourglass figure. Also look at whether skirt/top combinations might suit you better - I know at the moment I seem to be a different size on top to the bottom so I've been trying on a few dresses but they don't fit right all the way up iyswim so not too flattering :o Try not to be so hard on yourself, you deserve to have a gorgeous dress that I'm sure you will look gorgeous in x

LL - I don't know what to say hun but completely echo what Bronnie has put, you are an inspiration to us all on here and we're all sending you *hugs* and positive thoughts.

Have had a very lazy weekend, done pretty much no exercise and hardly any writing/sketching/photos at all. Also ate an entire large bar of Galaxy chocolate in one go and then felt really sick (so after saying above how I've doing been so well and just having the mini ones!!) I am choosing to think of it as a good thing though as I used to be able to eat like that all the time with no problem so I think maybe being ill shows that I have being doing better and my body is no longer used to having stuff like that in large quantities anymore - well that's my argument anyway and I'm sticking to it :o
Am going to visit my parents this weekend so looking forward to that. Have the day off work on Friday so was going to travel down then but it's my mum's birthday on the Thursday so thinking if I can manage to get out of work a bit early I could go straight down then and surprise her :) Will see how it goes - knowing my luck I'd show up on the doorstep and she'd have gone out for the night lol.

Aww LL, I wish I could scoop you up in my arms and let you sob your poor little heart out...I'm sure it would be REALLY cathartic for you! Loads and loads of :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: to you!!

Did you know that when we cry, we release a lot of the stress hormones in our tears?

It's like you are already suffering from grief, even though your OH is still with you. Hopefully, you can take and use some of the love and energy that we, your online friends, are sending your way.

To the rest of you girls, I'm sure the move into Autum and towards Winter, is of no help with feelings of positivity, so we've just got to work our minds and hearts that litte bit harder, to reach our individual journeys' to FABNESS!! Go for it ladies, and we'll be shining and sparkling by the Winter solstice....especially with ALL the wonderful support and encouragement that is flowing between us all on this thread!!

    Take care all!

LL - lots of good advice on here, it must still be so hard for you. I can't really offer anything else that the others haven't already said. Have a dodgy hug instead :grouphug:

Thanks for the cellulite recipe - it sounds lovely. Cooled coffee grinds (the kind you get from filter coffee) are a good anti-cellulite scrub. I don't know if it actually gets rid of the cellulite but it does make your skin lovely and smooth (even if it does make a mess of the shower....)

Willow - have you tried flesh coloured tights? There are some great ones out at the moment that look so natural. I even wear them in the summer because my legs are always so pale and they never look as smooth as I want them to. The flesh coloured tights solve that! Obviously don't go for any that are too far away from your natural colour - you don't want to look like you've been tangoed :rotfl:

I've started taking the EPO tablets. They are the size of suppositories (almost ;)). Not sure how long till I notice any difference but yesterday was the first day that my legs haven't ached for ages.

Had a bath with my HM sugar and olive oil scrub and my DD got in the water afterwards because she wanted to feel all moisturised too.

I've been for a run today and it was lovely and warm. I even think i may have caught the sun a bit :)

Thank you for all the advice everyone :)

I got a dress today, it looks like this: http://www.very.co.uk/holly-willoughby-pleated-jersey-dress/972958601.prd?browseToken=%2fq%2fholly+dress%2fo%2f2 (but mine's black and has diamante thingy on the front)

It was £25 from TK Maxx and my OH bought it for me ^-^

It's a little tight so I've got to lose half a stone in the next 6 weeks or so....I shall be on the Wii whenever I'm at home and going on lots of walks too.
Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.

That is a lovely dress and the leg issue is solved because you can wear opaque tights!

If you want to lose a bit of weight just cut out bread during the week only and you will find that everything fits much better (plus you'll feel better too). It's a bit of a nightmare for the first week because bread is such an easy option for lunch but by week 3 you'll be used to it. Plus it's a double whammy because no bread = no butter either :T

Sorry that's my only one, it won't work for everyone though. I have houmous and chopped up veg for my lunch - that way I'm on my way to getting my 5-a-day. I will still have potatoes, rice or pasta with my evening meal, just found that cutting out bread made me feel better :D

Just a quick post to say what a lovely dress willow, you'll look great in that and it's versatile enough to wear over Christmas too. I've been doing Slimming World and I'm a complete convert. The cutting out bread is good advice and also limit all oily things and sweet things so that includes milk, cheese, biscuits, cakes etc. Eat plenty of fruit and veg. Jacket potatoes with baked beans is a good lunch staple if you're not having a sandwich or an omelette with salad. At SW we use those oil sprays for frying. There is a SW thread on here and the very first post on there tells you all about the plan. Also the SW magazines and their own website gives you a sample 7 day menu. I haven't got shares, I'm just so delighted that it works:rotfl:

:grouphug: here's a great big hug for you LL.

    Back later.
