Not sure now wether to buckle and get the wine delivered before Tuesday and pay for the expensive delivery charge ....

When in your account, but not your order, keep going back to check deliveries. I've gone back about 6 or 7 times now on a second account looking for a £0 delivery. At first I had to wait 3 weeks. I just looked again and I can now get one on 29th. So one might pop up sooner if you keep checking.

So do all 3 codes work together? (£20 off chocs and souffle)
    :A
  • Can someone help me with something pretty please? I have some money clearing in my account today, avaliable for use tomorrow (avaliable today is something like a very shameful 11p). I tried to order some shopping but it's saying my card can't be authorised. I thought they didn't take money until the delivery date?

It may also be a problem with the card so I'm just trying to figure it out (I even managed to block the password reminder for verified by visa with the card in front of me :s), remembered the verified by visa password randomly while doing the dishes so went back to enter it. All it says now is the the card could not authorise. I was 98% sure on the password. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

p.s. also ordered a new bank card a couple of days ago - card worked fine, up until now, since then, but in the past I've always had to 'activate' the new card - santander ( hate them - only reason I cant change banks is that I cant repay the overdraft, otherwise I would)

  • Gosh - This hasn't been straightforward , has it? lol!!

I'm not happy about them putting up the delivery charge by £1 ... thought they are meant to be impressing their ''new customers''! ;)

I don't think it matters whether people have done a ''normal shop'' or just ordered booze , fags and stamps ( just wish I could AFFORD to use it as an ''extra'' but I CAN'T so just managed to do a 'normal shop' with it and am very happy!! )

Its obvious that majority of people were going to use it as a ''bonus'' shop , not their regular shopping even if that is not how it was intended ( over 30,000 codes 'sold' and don't even need to get the code through Crowdity itself plus don't they know what MSE'ers are like )

Regarding the free chocolates surely that was an offer for EXISTING customers since the OP of the choccie code got it WITH their order to be placed with their NEXT ONE??

I'm not going to use the chocolates code myself as like I said ( am sure you'll all GET it ) but it looks like its intended for an existing customer who has already placed and had their first order delivered so do not want to abuse the code

In my basket they have. I'm spending £24 total (inc £3.99 del charge) and getting 8 x main meals, coffee, chocolates, the souffles, bacon and 3x bottles pepsi.

The only thing I didn't order is veg to go with the dinners but I have some vouchers for that which need to be used up. Now all I need is basics - bread, cereal, sandwich fillers (lunches basically)

I don't think they are putting delivery up. It is always like that. They always have more cheaper and free slots the longer out you order (when they have less orders). As the number of orders goes up the number of cheap delivery slots go. It's like buying a seat on easy jet- they have so many at a certain price.

    It's like that every week.

At the moment I can order up to 13th July. So if I go in early in the morning do you think there should be some cheap/free delivery slots for the 14th?

They ''earmark'' the money in your account as in it is not TAKEN yet but put on hold so you still have to have the funds IN THERE to cover it

    Hope this makes sense??? ;)

Yes, that makes sense. Thanks. Will wait until morning to order then they should be able to authorise.
