I'm eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge

Well DM didn't find anything decent in the reduced section of the shop so just came home with the stuff on her list. Chocolate was on her list and since I'm PMSing like crazy I have already eaten 1 bar of it. XD
Bunny Milka upturned the tub of rabbit feed  He was having a strop and quite a bit went on the floor....left it there for him and Bunny Oreo to munch on when they have their run later.
Taken two lamb chops out of the freezer to have for tomorrow's dinner, DM looked in fridge and found a piece of cabbage we can use up, and two leftover potatoes, plus we have mini yorkshires in the freezer. I think she's getting used to this mse malarky! :rotfl:
Managed stirfry for lunch, not looking forward to going out this afternoon as we just got the beginnings of sleet here, hope it wont get worse, I'd quite like to get home tonight please!0 -
Dinner was TITH with roast potatoes, roast parsnip, asparagus, leeks, onions, cabbage and gravy.
Used 3 sausages and enough left for 2 meals for us two.
While dinner was cooking - made an Apple/Plum Crumble.
Coming out of freezer - chicken kiev - for Mondays dinner + to make room for TITH to go in!
Plus some of the crumble will need to be frozen. :eek:Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

2/3 jar pasta sauce for pasta back for kids tomorrow
Meal plan done through to Tuesday 1st April, now just got to stick to it.

Evening all, had a shocker spending day for my standards .................. almost a tenner. lol
£9.78 in total, but £1.80 to get back from TCB for the cereal bars.
Started off OK when picking up just the cereal bars from the Co-op and then Aldi when picking up the apples and pineapple (excellent quality), I bought some packets of sweets (fudge, mints and liquorice allsorts) and some mixed nuts.
Then Sainsbury's tonight I got some great bargains - 4 packs of trout fillets reduced from £2.99 (or 2 for £5) for only 39p per pack. Also picked up a packet of chicken and stuffing sandwiches reduced from £2.50 to 25p (my snack tonight).
Picked up 4 chunky steak pies from Morries for only £1.10.
So a few things in the freezer (pies and fish), but bargains and cheap meals for the weeks ahead.
I'll have to meal plan just for myself for the next 2 days whilst hubby is "fasting", so possibly jacket potato with cheese tomorrow.
Milk and bread and hot cross buns in the freezer and will pick up some Aldi Super 6 stuff on Monday.
Next week will be a £20+ week also as I'm getting bits from Nestle Shop, but not too much as picking up stuff for someone else and just added a few bits. Fish and chips will be £5+, so anywhere around £25 will do. But it looks like a £100'ish month and I'll have to start "whoopsy" shopping again I suppose. I'm desperately waiting for Lidl half-price steak mince, chicken breasts and meatballs - 10 packs of each please.
Deleted_User - thanks for the Avon suggestion.
What I'm hoping for is a coupon in conjunction with a half-price offer - I'll start looking from next week. The time will come and just a case of waiting. If needed there will always be some sort of offer on.
Weeks spends went:

Mon - £4.53
Tue - NSD
Wed - £3.52
Thu - NSD
Fri - £6.41
Sat - £9.78 (ouch!!)

Decided to spend the day cooking sweet things. Using up things I have in the cupboards. So far a doz butterfly buns with lemon butter filling. Also a walnut and coffee tray bake, ingredients out for a date and chocolate loaf, soaking dates at the moment, will do it after watching Formula 1 on the TV. Need to make some biscuits as there are none in the cupboards. Also fancy doing a treacle and ginger tray bake. Most will end up in freezer but at least ingredients are out of cupboards and fridge.0

afternoon all
used up rest of scotch pancakes with syrup and cream for breakfast, so nice and such a treat since I missed out on them yesterday! rest of the cream I will save and use it up in the choccy cake I'm planning to bake tomorrow.
lunch was some chicken pieces DM bought yesterday with a wrap, crisps, and then the rest of the salad bits lurking in the veg draw - four sticks celery, 1 large tomato, and 5 radishes.
after dinner tonight veg is all gone except 1 large tomato, some cabbage strips (that we feed the buns) and 6 or so large onions! might have to pop to T's tomorrow at this rate! we have loads of meat in the freezers tho so just have to buy stuff to go with it and not go too mad with spending.
went freezer diving today for the chinese selection boxes I bought on y/s last month so they can defrost - friend is coming round Tuesday and so we're going to munch our way through them! :rotfl:
stay warm all0 -
For dinner we had HM wedges with HM quiche and HM coleslaw.
While I was cooking dinner - I made some cakes for Cafe Church this evening. Almond cakes and a coconut/orange cake.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Afternoon all, a bit "naughty" today as I bought some pork loin steaks reduced in Sainsbury's - 8 nice steaks for only £2.20 and couldn't resist even though I have pork to get rid of!!
So pies, trout fillets and now pork steaks added this weekend to freezers and a wee bit guilty, but apart from the pies, excellent quality/value.
I've just been snacking (sweets mostly lol) and fancy cheese on toast!!
Hubby has been eating cereal with almond milk, cereal bars and loads of fruit. Same again tomorrow for him also - he must be mad!!
We'll get back on track from Tuesday afternoon.
So no NSD, but done well with my £2.20 start to the week.
