    Hi all,

Small freezer movement today when hubby got out pizza for the kids, one for me to take to the lunch today and a small chilli portion for himself. I ate at lunchtime with friends and just had some twiglets and salad tonight.

Bonus though being an NSD esp as hubby wanted me to get cheap bread. Instead he dug out three rolls from freezer for boys tomorrow.

Tomorrow will not be NSD as going to Aldi (mystery shop) and Argos (Mystery Shop) so suspect will pop in freezer place to see if there are any must-have bargains...

Hope all is well!! hugs to zafiro. x
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

    Evening all.

Feeling a bit stuffed after my tea, even though I had it a few hours ago lol. Roasted some tomatoes and put one of those small tubs of apetina feta cubes in olive oil with garlic and stuffed olive, on the toms. Also chopped 1/2 a chilli and some caper berries with it. Served it on a bed of pasta.

Tomorrow will be the rest of the lentil stew for dinner and I've some Linda McCartney red onion and cheese plaits in the freezer for tea.

Thinking of getting a new duck down pillow from John Lewis as they sell ethically sourced ones and one of the ones I use is 21 yrs old!!!! Definitely need a new one. £45 for a pillow though, although you can pay a lot more.

Jelly Biactol - pine nuts are good with fried cubed squash, garlic, sage or rosemary and mushrooms with pasta.
Thanks, I bought them to go with the mushroom pesto pasta I was planning to make (and did make, enough for two meals in fact) - scattered a few in just before serving. Only a few, though, too expensive otherwise:)

recovering spendaholic/Jane - i am so glad you have had a breakthrough with your daughter, kids are so cruel but its great to hear she has confided in you, onwards and upwards and 1

Well I had a freezer gap - but treated kids to a tub of raspberry ripple icecream on offer in Lidl for 79p, its delish and def won't last past the weekend!
  • Cake was a sucess, was getting worried as the time it stated was not long enough, my fault though, i didnt use the right tin! Eaten a few slices of the cake already lol.

The garlic chilli veg noodles were good, enough left for tomorrow, i have enough food for meals tomorrow, but I'm still debating if I should make a tomato and veg pasta tomorrow, hmmm.

Lipstick your dinner is all vegetarian, thought you'd given up after your pork pie ;)

Kirri i want to know what is in the veg box, only because I'm nosy :)

Morning all. Feeling a bit tired as ds woke up not long after I'd fallen asleep, crying as his ankle was aching. He settled ok after some medicine.

Kitchen is mostly done. Need to sort out a couple of the top shelves with their baking products but it's looking a lot more organised now. Today will be a NSD. Don't need anything, so there's no reason to visit the shops. Trying to save some money for the half term next week lol.

MNR - Well... lets just say the pork pie was a small lapse. I am trying, honest! :D Actually looking forward to next week now as most of the stuff in my freezer is meat, so won't be making much space in it this week.

Dinner tonight is going to be - HM suet sausage pie - real stodge food for the cold weather. Also will have roast potatoes, roast parsnip, last of the cauliflower with carrots and onions - topped off with gravy left over from yesterday steak/onions meal.

I am baking some muffins when the oven is on tonight so 10 of them will go in the freezer.
