I am going to meal plan for 3 reasons.

    1. I want to be thrifty/frugal.
    2. Having house renovations so need to run down stocks as much as possible.
    3. Like being organised.

I have just written out our meal plan/menu until February 10. :)
At the same time I have written out a shopping list. :)
I will be buying the Al.. super six and using HM meals - most are already in my freezer. Did I mention I cook for Desperate Dan although there are two of us to feed!
I will try to have reduced my freezers considerably by the time builders arrive.
I live in Mr F's house - well - mine now. :rotfl: Mr F has not bothered to update the house - now it is time! ;)
House is stuck in the 1970s.
I have booked - new windows + porch first.
Then I am having a new boiler and radiators.
Next - new bathroom and downstairs cloakroom.
New kitchen to go in as well.

    Better do it online now.

1970's might come back in fashion ........................ you'd be gutted if it happens and you've changed it. :D

    I wish I could meal plan. :(

Everything is coming to the end of it's useful life in the house - brown bathroom suite - front panel broken. Kitchen - well less said about that the better! Broken drawers and shelves plus the colour! Boiler original - 1974!
Do I spend my money on us/house or leave to children to squander?

That's a great run with the boiler and we had a brown (horrible) suite - marks showed everywhere. There should ONLY be white and never goes out of fashion.
Hope you notice the difference with a modern boiler - we did. Much more efficient and will probably pay for itself.

I love the word "squander". lol

I don't meal plan, I don't waste anything though, just tend to cook 'something' from what what I have. I keep a list of meal ideas in a list as I think of them though as a reminder.

    Just had the bolognaise.

Am cooking a very strange cake that doesn't seem to want to cook..

My 6 children all had the opportunity of uni - 5 went. So they have careers of their choosing/making. My savings going on the house will increase it's value plus make it comfy for us to live in. Squander is what I think would happen to the money - they are NOT frugal/thrifty!
