I have just filled a draw of my freezers back up already. 4x £6 each large chickens for just £10. :j
How on earth do you have that much freezer space??
Picked up Brother from Ferry Port and took him to Lidl to pick up some basics.
Got 4 pints of milk for myself @ 98p and hoping that's it for today - no "couponing"!!!
Just posted the Lidl half-price weekend offers for next weekend (breakfast stuff again).
Lovely day, just a little breezy - in the garden soon.
BTW - Morries was OOS on both the Golden Syrup (65p) and the Green's Cheesecake Mix yesterday.

I didn't have enough space so I had to joint two of them.
I was laughing at myself taking a hammer to the carcasses to squash them so I could fit them in little gaps here and there. :rotfl:£36/£240

Morning all to an ok'ish day.
No further spends yesterday, so only 98p spent on milk.
Need to tot up spends and see what I have left for today - last day of having a low budget and God am I happy.
This is week 36 and I'll bore you all tonight with the figures.
So, after today, only 2 more sets of 6 weeks and the final 4 in December. :j
Spends have been low this week due to bargains and the use of coupons, especially getting the extra 35p by using the Heinz coupons in Morries. Hoping to get some cakes from M&S if £25 budget allows, but little needed today TBH.
Hoping for some more Green's stuff today and possibly some more beans, but beans can wait.
Breakfast will be toast with cheese slices and hubby is having bagels topped with fried eggs.
Small gammon joint for main meal and having with roast veg. Might finish off the pears and make a pear crumble??
Got loads to do today (unexpected) and sadly won't get to food-bank, but will do next week - sorted some bits for them to add to beans and mushy peas.
Catch up tonight.

Afternoon all, glorious day here.
I've never seen a sadder looking freezer than mine at the moment. I'm sure I saw tumble weed in there!
Last night we ended up doing something different than planned and the parents came round for a quick meal (Nigella it was not!).
OUT: Box of mini muffins, 2 pitta bread, 3 escalopes, 1 kiev, panful of peas, chips, rhubarb pie, tin of custard.
IN: Nothing
I've been through my credit card statements and debit card statements which is telling me I've only spent £269 on food. I'm sure something is wrong somewhere? I was sure I'd be closer to £300 mark for my July-December challenge but that suggests I've got £430.96 left. I don't shop using cash (rarely anyway) and have accounted for any cash-bought bits by throwing a £30 misc. bill on top.
Very confused anyway but the sums must be right. I'll take it from there today anyway.
Did a Tesco online order as had a £10 goodwill voucher that needed using. Got some essential cupboard items that I've been waiting for for a few weeks (sauces, vinegar, tinned items etc) and some bread for the freezer. Spent £37 after discounts.
Will be going lunch-item shopping tomorrow and hoping to spend £20 max. as we don't need much.
Meat-shopping will commence soon as the freezer will need re-stocking with meals fairly soon.
Cooking must begin: chicken casserole, macaroni cheese and chilli - with items I already have in stock. May make the macaroni cheese tonight to freeze it.
OUT TONIGHT: 2 salmon fishcakes (50p), 4 chicken samosas, chips & spaghetti (again...another non Nigella night!).
It does definitely feel great making meals of what we already have and having actually conquered the superfluous buying (most of the time anyway).
Hope you all have a good day.
PS - Lynsey - you will be eating like a Queen next week and beyond. We'll all be in awe of your M&S shops0 -
Afternoon all
Having a chilled out weekend, been out this morning and OH has somehow managed to fall asleep on the couch ... we're only 24 not 84 lol :P Must of been tired from a busy week in work but he got a promotion so think its allowed
I have just sat down and wrote out a list of his work lunches, and our teas for the next two weeks until my bursary comes through. I am only in placement for three more days so only three more packed lunches for me for a couple of weeks - makes things easierWith the plan we will use up pretty much everything we have in, and then do a proper shop on the last day planned. Going to try and make it work 100% as if we get this all gone I can reconsider the items we like using and things that we don't need.
Starting the planned meals tomorrow - tonight is YS chicken out of the freezer with a Sharwoods curry sauce we got for £1 from Ms - might have some actifry chips with it also. Going to save some of the chicken for tomorrows lunch.
Out today - pack of bacon, pizza from freezer, chicken, jarred curry sauce, last of YS mushrooms
In - table salt, and juice0 -
PS - Lynsey - you will be eating like a Queen next week and beyond. We'll all be in awe of your M&S shops
It won't be shopping at M&S, just for some cakes and offers. lol
I went for some cakes today and had them in hand (2 for £2), but the queues were massive and slow, so I put them back as I was in a hurry!! Always another day.
It's be a "Green Day" - well Green's.
Morries (few transactions):
6 x Green's Pancake mix @ 50p = £3
8 x Green's Cheesecake mix @ 50p = £4
4 x Wright's bread mix @ 50p = £2
2 x Golden Syrup @ 65p = £1.30
Sub total = £10.30
Used 14 x 40p Green's coupons and 4 x 30p Wright's coupons (£6.80)
Total = £3.50
Asda:
4 x Green's Carmelle @ 49p = £1.96
4 x Green's Egg Custard @ 49p = £1.96
Sub total = £3. 92
Used 8 x 40p Green's coupons (minus £3.20)
Total = 72p
Lidl:
2 x Gouda cheese slices @ 94p = £1.88
Days food total = £6.10
Non-food:
Morries:
2 x Colgate Plax @ £1 = £2
Used 2 x 75p Colgate coupons (minus £1.50)
Total 50p
I'm not sure if I'll go out tonight, so might tot up soon. Spends for week only about £20, so a fiver'ish left.
Gammon in oven now with roast veg and starving as been out all day.
miss_emmajane - you may have pushed me to a pizza tomorrow.
I've got to try and clear some freezer food next week.
