Thanks jemb I had noticed it and had an order from Ocado yesterday.

I've started putting up offers on the September is organic month thread. Got all current Tesco ones done, also checked Iceland, 99p Stores, Budgens, Morrisons, The Co-operative, Poundland, French Click, Holland and Barrett, Ecogreenstore and Goodness Direct.

I've started on Ocado, ASDA and Sainsbury's then I have Planet Organic, Whole Foods and Waitrose to do.. hopefully it's just adjusting stuff through the month then :D
  • Salad made tonight by my cracking boyfriend with some more BBQ Burgers, think I need to include him as he did go and buy extra today unprompted, but he also made the most of the home-made soup today , made from frozen cauli, brocciolli, garlic, on the turn cream cheese with chillis and the frozen rind of a stilton, he ate two big bowlfuls while I was at work and failed by having a vending machine sandwich

  • Evening ALL.

I have had the last of the rolls, with cucmber, spinach, mayo and pork, will have the remainder of the pork with some rice and coleslaw.

Popped out and went to waitrose, got a bag of onion crisps, they are my fave, got 2 packs of prepared baby carrots and green beans, a bag of ready made coleslaw mix, 2 packs of snack grapes and 2 fruitpies £3.82, all reduced apart from crisps and a multi discount kicked in, was going to get 3 packs of meat, but after i calculated reductions and discounts still would have been £7 for a pack of ribs and 2 pork shoulder joints, so i left it lol, plenty more reductions about, but i don't have any space in freezer, so no point targeting any meat deals just yet.

Done my bean run with mixed success.

    Morries 1:
    4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 50p = £2
    6 x "Best" Belgian choc fudge 220g @ 50p = £3
    Rich tea @ 50p = 50p
    Sub total = £5.50
    Used 4 x 85p coupons (minus £3.40)
    Total = £2.10

    Morries 2 (crafty here!!!)
    4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 50p = £2
    Kelly's Cornish ice-cream @ £2 = £2
    Sub total = £4
Used 4 x Heinz coupons, but they only deducted 4 x 50p!!! But still free beans.
    Total = £2
So I didn't "score" for the 4 x 35p's, but this is a Morries I've had the same problem (if it is a problem) before. They probablt get fore-warned by a savvy manager - I'll not be using that store again. lol :D

Days total = £4.10 and I've now got my 20 tins of beans to donate on Saturday.

The fudge is a bargain @ 50if you like choc fudge, I prefer plain fudge. I've tried it as I was going to go "large", but what I have will go into hampers.

    No more shopping tonight.

Just printed of some Colgate coupons (75p) and 500ml Plax is £1 in Asda - so only 25p.
    EDIT: Also £1 in Morries.

I had to give in and go shopping, when hubby offered to go shopping due to the lack of food lunch items I knew I'd taken it too far lol.

Got lunch items plus various YS mini muffins which will do nicely for lunches for the next few weeks. £22 spend.

Sticking to the meal plan to empty the freezer, Curried Chicken, my last 99p YS bargain from Morries and home made pork escalopes with cheesy jackets.

The freezer is now de-void of donuts but full of mini muffins :D

    Hope all are well :)
  • Where do you get the 50p vouchers for the beans please xx

You have done very well ammonite. :)

Vintage, the bean voucher has been removed. They don't tend to stay around long.

Lot's of fish has come out today to make fish pie for tea. I'll serve this with mushy peas.
Lunch will just be an omlette using up fridge ends. I bet you can guess what brekkie is. :D

I am going to spend half hour ordering free samples of toiletries to boost the freebie l'oreal hamper I have been making my daughter. It is getting to be a very expensive free xmas gift. :j

I hope everyone is well. :)

    Morning all, had breakfast already.
Had toast topped with Lidl cheese slices.

    Much better substitute.
You are doing well with the budget - stay strong and WIN.

vintage43 - the beans coupon wasn't for a fixed amount, but for a free tin of beans. So they should go through at the store price, or be adjusted to the store price. They do scan at 85p and you can "score".

Trying Morries again later and hoping the beans coupon scans at 85p and reduces my veg. Going to buy some more onions and carrots while the 50p offer is on.
Morries also have the Tate & Lyle Pouring Golden Syrup for only 65p. Hoping to get some today, they were sold out yesterday.

Thanks folks. Really need to stick to it this month as we've had a lot of other things to buy. Haven't updated my budget in signature for a while but will trawl through the credit card statements to check out what it should be.

Thanks for the heads up about Syrup Lynsey. I'm down to my last bottle and use the stuff quite a bit!
  • Morning :)

Didn't get time to come on yesterday but I am off today - got a friend coming round for brunch before she goes for her late shift, she is following Slimming World so doing a little breaky using the rest of the Quorn sausages from the freezer, toast, beans, mushrooms, tomatos etc

I went to Morrisons just before 9am to see if they had the 50p fudge but no luck, would have been good for OH's Christmas stocking. I did get two bunches of asparagus totalling 54p from the 'Selected Seconds' bit - was chuffed with that, and had 54p of loose change which also made my purse lighter!

Ou, she is here - will continue later :)
